To start off, I've seen a lot of discourse around this and also as to why/by whom it was deleted. To answer that first, it's hard to say because Jimin just commented:

"삭제해 버리네" which doesn't indicate who performed the action as the pronoun here is missing. He just wrote *he he he* "deleting" or "deleted"

He did use a grammar form 해 (어/아) 버리다 as to indicate that the action was completed in full; this grammar form can also carry an emotional undertone -as if someone was glad/regretful that the action happened. The best or closest interpretation of what he wrote then would be "he he he it's all deleted/gone" (alternatively: "he he he deleting it all") Did he mean he was glad he deleted? Or was he laughing that it got deleted? Hard to tell... You can see Jungkook understood it in that way, but I don't really see a reason why such action would be taken by anyone from the staff or moderators on the platform (if there are any).

Simply because what he wrote was very... brazen to say the least (we'll get into that) but in no way vulgar or inappropriate for broadcast.

Now looking at the preceding comment which you asked about... Jimin knew what he was doing with this comment 🤭 (and the nature of it leads me to believe even more he regretted posting so he deleted it quickly and was laughing about it)

"저 그렇게 쉬운 사람 안입니다"

This phrase closest translates to:

"I am not such an easy person" / "I am not that of an easy person"

First, this sentence is a commonly used phrase, you can also see by the formal tone in which Jimin wrote it as if he was quoting it- he normally doesn't have to / shouldn't talk with such high politeness with Jungkook and Jungkook responded in a highly formal tone and the typical Jimin-ssi for that very reason => which all adds another layer to this whole interaction (teasing upon teasing 🫣)

It's very commonly used when someone is in pursuit of someone else, whether it be trying to persuade you, make you do/feel something or make a move on you.

You would typically say this in a setting when a stranger is trying to get to know you/get your number or in other words is hitting on you and you want to politely and also a bit playfully reject. Of course, the context can also be that when a friend is trying to get on your good side, please you or persuade you. This answer is kind of teasing way to say "huh you think this would work on me?" It is a lot of times spoken in situations when you want to be playful/teasing/flirtatious and say: I'm not such an easy person (but)... [I'm not that easy to sway/your attempts have not been enough, you should try harder]. It can read as an invitation, a sort of cheeky rebuttal to say you know your worth and you expect more to be persuaded.

When put in the context of the wlive, there is more to consider. Jungkook was talking about taking it easy prior to Jimin posting that, when he read a few comments saying that Jimin should "go easy". I feel like Jimin's idea for the comment came from this moment. What leads me to believe he ended up deleting it is that the context in which he said it made it inherently flirtatious and very suggestive: Jungkook naked in bed, trying really hard to persuade Jimin over a livestream to go see him and Jimin making prior remarks to Jungkook to uncover himself 🙈 And that's how it was understood by Jungkook as well as he then went on to reason that it was Weverse that deleted the comment (for it being somehow explicit).

(**Also just to note, "an easy person" 쉬운 사람 as a standalone term in Korean doesn't carry an outright sexual meaning- an easy person in Korean is understood as more of a 'negative' term when you are too agreeable, when you don't stand up for yourself and let people walk over you and you are too easily taken advantage of. It doesn't have to do anything with someone's promiscuity. In the phrase Jimin used however, the implied meaning is different as explained.**)

Very shortly to the last part of your message, he said: "I'll bring stuff to wash up with" most likely implying he was to stay at Jimin's after the proposed live and sleep (and from my guess wash up before his schedule).

"내가 갈게, 내가 씻을 거 챙겨가지고 갈게"

"I'll go, I'll bring stuff to wash up with and go."

(he was emphasizing that he has no problem doing it, he is ready to go).

at first I wondered if I should approach this topic from a troll perspective, but then I thought to myself, "NO, my fellow queers deserve the best of the best", and so this is my best. (bitch I low-key ate, get ready)

I honestly didn't want to touch this topic, aside from the posts I've made about it being queer-coded; I just wanted to keep it light and happy while I observed others dive into the queer undertones, but that ask I received from the person who wanted me to disprove the claims that it wasn't queer coded, I decided, to just say fuck it and join the conversation.

I think the most annoying part of this discourse is that people come to queer spaces and ask about the validity of the experiences and things we perceive, using the guise of "this person said this and that," as if that's going to sway our minds from the things we notice. Especially when it comes to BTS and Jimin, people, for some reason, can't seem to accept that they could ever be part of the spectrum that is love. The archaic ideology that we should automatically assume that someone is straight to avoid offending someone is why we're still having this conversation. It's as if someone is saying that being queer is negative and straight is positive. We've talked about this several times, yet we can't help but constantly express the same thing repeatedly because of the toxic shit that hets/ignorant people throw at us.

It's why I sometimes don't publish questions about Jikook, because sometimes the asks I get are incredibly intrusive, and pervasive that it seems moot to even entertain giving an answer.

BUT, I DIGRESS

The symbolism in the video TO ME, was heavily queer coded, from the mirror images of Jimin and the girl to even the color selection and the feel of the dark and light parts of the MV.

But I want to start with this topic first because, from the various conversations, the lack of depth people are willing to put into an artist they love is disappointing. And the thing is, if you're the kind of person who doesn't dive past the surface level and you enjoy music, that's ok! I think it's important that we respect the boundaries of people, despite the way we interact with music/artists, BUT, and this is a big BUT (haha butt… sorry!), if you come to queer spaces and ask them to prove to YOU how things might be potentially queer coded when you haven't done the work to move past the surface, then it's not quite fair, is it?. I'm not about to do your homework for you.

So if you watch the performance from Jimmy Fallon, you can see the confirmation of the mirror image we see in the MV and this performance. The dancer is quite literally mirroring Jimin's moves and dance; it's not a dance that shows opposition, they are in 1 fluid motion, and the same thing is said for the MV; the woman is walking in the same direction towards Jimin, and yet we never see them meet. Not once. We know she has the same grime on her hand as Jimin does on his, and the parallels are once again attached. The color saturates when she touches him, and then we see him heading into the club.

The thing that frustrates me about this narrative that his girlfriend broke up with him and now he's going to the club to win her back and blah blah blah, is that it's bland, inconsistent and it lacks depth. It's a disservice to the hard work Jimin has put towards this album, because it automatically pins him as person who attaches himself to simplicity, and that's not him at all.

We often talk about the ambiguity that is Jimin, his voice, appearance, and style, take the fact that we praise him for his androgyny and his gender-fluidity. It's not an assumption for us to speak on those things because he has confirmed that for us and has hinted at it. Hence, it's not a reach to consider that this other version of Jimin - the woman - represents the femininity that he embraces within himself. He is both masculine and feminine, strong and soft; both things live within him.

To assume such a simple storyline as a mere breakup is what attaches the woman to the MV, is a reason why people continue to push these heteronormative tropes unto Jimin.

The signs are there, babe; you just have to open your eyes and look. And I've joked with my friends about this before, that I could literally draw a map that directly leads you to the treasure. Yet, I would still need to drive there, point to the exact location, and STILL, people would struggle to find the X… at some point, we need to acknowledge that it ain't me, but it's a you problem.

And the thing is Jimin has been vocal in various mediums when it comes to his identity, we don't need to define it for him or call it what it is because he himself has told us. We respect him and accept him wholeheartedly, because someone's queer journey is their own, it isn't something that someone else can own or demand confirmation.

As for the queer coded messages, I think it's important to acknowledge one specific common theme, and that is - the constant color scheme

Because although it can be denied, that specific color scheme has been present far too many times for it to be a mere coincidence.

And I want to talk about this specific scene and how it relates to it.

AND REMEMBER THESE ARE MY VIEWS AND MINE ONLY. It doesn't mean I'm right and someone else is wrong, NO!. it just means that this is my own personal perception.

It could be said that Jimin is in the middle because he might identify as Bi, and that is a really good pov. For me though, it continues this constant belief that he is choosing not to identify as a more masculine or feminine identity, he simple is. As he stands in the middle, looking up at the camera, while the couple behind him kiss to me looks as if he's asking the viewer, the onlooker to try to decipher what he's trying to convey.

The colors of the black, purple, white and the yellow tones, are proudly behind him, as he stands while the colors illuminate on him as well. It isn't something he's trying to hide, he is at the forefront, and it is meant to represent that constant versions of himself he is trying to get us to see.

We also see that throughout the MV he has other people in the same tones as well, and while we can try and decipher their gender identity, it's the lack of confirmation that really drives this home.

Because how does this in any way confirm someones gender?. Are we going by hair length, the clothes they seem to be wearing?. What exactly points to this being a heteronormative adaptation. The entire point of them being in a saturated in color is that they become people instead of the gender constructs that society wants us to continuously subscribe to.

If we put these preconceived notions behind us, we can see people without the hierarchy that supports patriarchy and heternomity. Just saying. lol

And one of the things that came up was that unless Jimin comes out and specifically says what the MV is about, that we'll never know...... but it's just...... WTF lol. He HAS come out and told us what the MV AND his album is about, if people don't want to accept that, that's on them, but Jimin made it very clear. If there's one thing we're not going to do in this house, is spread lies on Jimin's name.

And look, I'm not going to sit here and act like I know anything about this... because I really don't lolol!.

I saw one lovely post yesterday that dived into this topic and I'm going to add their post here once I find it.

But I'm not going to to talk about a subject I haven't even explored, I like to do my research on subjects such as those because they deserve the time and attention to fully comprehend.

But what I will say is that BBoi Jimin here has been a fan for a while now.

Now for the lyrics

If there's one thing we queerdo's understand is a metaphor. We live our lives in the shadows, in the blanket of the night. We are the night owls, we come alive once the moon is up in the sky. We seek others who are like us, in spaces only we know.

"The moon with you in its arms. Let me have a taste"

This song IS about Jimin and the push and pull he has with the shadows of himself and who he is, and the thing is that he is both. If you can't understand context and metaphor, while paired with the imagery in the MV, then I'm sorry, you're just never going to get it.

I'm closing this post with this final shot, because it ties it all back to my original point, and thus we've come full circle

Try as people might, we can't deny someone's voice when they've done everything they can to point us in the direction of their soul.

I love Jimin, not just because I am protective of him as a member of my community, but I love Jimin because of who he is and what his soul contains.

Now don't get me started on how Letter was in the same track as Like Crazy English version. You want to talk about a queer coded song and then act like Jimin didn't write/sing/compose a love letter that contained background male vocals while they both harmonize about making it work........... and said male is part of his group, and they've both been vocal about their feelings for each other.

Don't test me when it comes to Jikook's love, I'll make you cry.
