Tumblr media
Chadar Trek is the traditional name for the way through the Zanskar River in Ladakh during winter. During winter, the temperature falls up to -30°C to -35°C in Ladakh which freezes Zanskar River and makes a way in and out to villages over there. In winter, Chadar Trek becomes a famous trekking spot for adventure-loving people from all around the world. Arduous treks of the Himalaya, with a fall in temperature to the lowest, and rare climatic conditions make Chadar one of the dangerous trek in the Himalaya. Walking over the sheet of ice with cliffs raised to 600m high make Chadar trek a wonderful memory. This is a 105 km long trail over the frozen river which led you to observe the rich cultural life of people over there. This trek led to the ancient monastic establishment of Karsha and Zangla. This trek goes for 6 to 18 days where a trekker has to cover 10 miles to explore the unique beauty of nature.
