I do find the revelation of the Farnesworth parents’ motivation to be endlessly fascinating because while it does make clear to the audience that they care deeply about Francis, it also betrays their fundamental misunderstanding of him and what he wants. Francis starts the series lonely and miserable, desperately wanting connection with others. Once he befriends Trudy and Kelsey, he fiercely protects them to the point of incredible violence lest something bad happen to them and he lose them. The idea that his parents are doing everything “for him”, only for the desired result of their machinations to be Francis once again alone, with no one else to connect to, shows that they don’t understand what he truly wants. The future they are fighting for is not a salvation for Francis, but a damnation to a life that would make him miserable. They love him, but he will never be able to truly understand their motivations because they do not understand his, and thus are attempting to offer him something that he would never agree to.

the first major choice for the dndads tcg is one that will shape the way this project will go, i made super super rough draft ideas for 2 different styles.

the first is a magic the gathering style game

and the second is more like pokémon

I'm working on the very basics of card layout alongside what style of game it will be.

As dndads is nothing without its community ill let almost every major choice up to yall via polls.
