Stan’s Entire Bar Mitzvah Speech
Note: I wanted to make Stanley’s entire Bar Mitzvah speech for a Fanfiction I am working on. I wanted to find a cohesive way of combining both the deleted speech and the one that was used in the movie. This is the outline that I have produced, and I would like some help with it. Feel free to critique it or give ideas please.
"I'm reflecting on what I just read, the word Leshnot comes up a lot. Which means, um, to change, to transform. Which makes sense, I guess. Because today I’m supposed to be a man, it’s funny though everyone has memories they are prouder of then others. Right? Maybe, that’s why change is so scary because the things we wish we could leave behind. The whispers we could silence, the nightmares we most want to wake up from, the memories we wish we could change, secrets we feel we must keep are the hardest to walk away from. The good stuff, the pictures in our minds that fade away the fastest, those pieces of you it feels the easiest to lose. Maybe I don’t want to forget, maybe if that is what today is all about. forget it right?
“I also like what it said about indifference. Well, when you’re a kid you think that the universe revolves around you. That you’ll always be protected and cared for and that you will always have the same friends as when you were twelve. Then one day, something bad happens and you realize that’s not true. You wake up suddenly not caring about lives outside of your own. Nothing outside your front door matters anymore. You separate yourself from anything that might matter to you, neighbors, family, and your friends. but when you’re a kid, the monsters see you as weaker and they start to come for you, and you don’t even know they’re getting closer until it’s too late. So, they attack you before you find the truth about what’s happening. If any of you opened your eyes, if you really cared, you would see what we’re going through. I guess indifference, is a part of growing steadily, becoming an adult isn’t about being able to vote or being able to drink or drive. Becoming an adult, according to the holy scripture Derry, is learning not to give a shit.”
“Uh... uh... today I’m supposed to become a man, but I don’t, I don’t feel any different, I... I… I know I’m a loser and no matter what. I always fucking will be.”

1. This story will be the book canon with pieces of the miniseries and the movies sprinkled into the story where they make the most sense.
2. The losers club will be their book ages (eleven and ten years old) at the beginning of the story. So please, keep it as non-explicit (No underage sex) as you can. As the characters are aging up, increasingly explicit things will be allowed. However, if you have something explicit you would like to add please feel free to DM me and we can discuss it.
