Punisher/Nick Fury: The Rules of The Game (unpublished) (1990)
Jim Lee & Greg Wright – writers Jim Lee – penciler/inker(?) ? – letterer
Part 1 of 2
Lee drew 21 pages of a 64-page Punisher/Nick Fury graphic novel with former Marvel editor Greg Wright in 1990 that never saw the light of day.
“Fury’s one of my favorite characters, so we wrote up a treatment about a former S.H.I.E.L.D. operative that uses drug money to finance his own personal little war. The drug connection brings Punisher into it, and Nick Fury wants this rogue agent to be put down–they get together to take the guy down. Then I started Uncanny X-Men, so there just wasn’t time to work on it. I layed out the whole thing, but I never got paid or found the time and energy to finish it. And pages got stolen from the Marvel offices… it was a disaster!” -Jim Lee
