Squaletta simply adored buying weapons, because there are never enough weapons. Anything that can stab and wound is fascinating.

And Rosa will definitely need a great tool on missions. A practical tool that a swordswoman will enjoy choosing.

Kills two birds with one stone.

A beautiful Italian stiletto knife. At first she thought about buying her stiletto high heels like a bonus – after all those heels can kill too – but since she had never seen Rosa in such high heels and whether she could even walk in them, it wouldn't be a very practical gift.

It's always good to have a knife on hand, whether on a garter under a dress, in a shoe or the purse.

A knife is like trust – it is better to have it and not use it than not to have it and regret it.

She chose a model with an elegant black ebony blade, one that didn't draw too much attention but could make a proper mess. Stiletto switchblade knife decorated with a small engraving on the handle – a detail that only those who look closely will appreciate. A rose, like Rosa. And a short phrase:

Se ti taglia, te lo meriti.

(In English: If someone cuts you, they deserve it.)

Squaletta laughed at the thought. Rosa may not seem like someone who would stab you in the back… but if necessary, she will go straight between the ribs and damage your spine.

Hopefully Rosa will find her gift on her desk…

When Yamamoto comes home, he finds a gift from the blonde swordswoman waiting on the table in his living room.

A music box. A simple, unassuming wooden box — and when opened, it plays a melody made of falling raindrops and the soft sound of a Japanese shakuhachi flute.

It's her way of saying that she sees him even in silence. That she knows his quiet isn't empty, and hers too. It's a truly gentle gift — which is probably why he wouldn't expect it from her.

Or maybe she just wants to hint that he is sometimes so annoying, she wishes she could switch him off like a music box. Who knows.~

But because Squaletta has to mock and be sarcastic to be sincere, Yamamoto finds something else inside as well. A small metal card, the size of a business card, with the word Hero crossed out. Underneath, in her handwriting, it says: "An idiot with a sword I would (maybe) protect." On the other side, another note is scribbled: "Pull this out if you ever start thinking you are nothing more, Trashymoto."

I can't stand how you can read between my insults. How you know when to stay silent when others talk, and when to speak up when I stay quiet. How you look at me when you think I am not watching. And even more, I can't stand how you try to understand me.

You are probably the only one with whom I wouldn't mind being vulnerable. But if you ever mention it aloud, I swear, I'll give you a duel you'll remember until your retirement.

You have more of me than I would ever tell you. And if you are reading this… I allowed you to know it.

************** And now no one knows whether it isjust a friendly and playful letter or a love letter, since there is a kiss mark on the envelope. Everyone knows well that Squaletta loves to tease.

A map was attached to the letter. A world map with places marked where they could have a duel together or just go on an adventure. Of course, Squaletta didn't write what each place was about, so Yamamoto can only guess. But she didn't forget to add one note: "Once you stop being such a smiley idiot, we will go."

Also included was a small box with two pendants on a chain – a raindrop and a shark. The raindrop symbolized his calm nature. Squaletta would call it sweet. In the box, Yamamoto also found a note: "Because sometimes you are too sweet. That needs to be balanced." That's why she added the pendant of wild strength, the shark. It represented her desire to protect him. But since the blonde swordswoman can't do it any other way, her playfulness couldn't be hidden. If Yamamoto happens to turn the shark pendant over, he would find another meaning behind why it is on the chain. It was engraved with – And now you are my prey.
