A user on Resetera has leaked new screenshots from Kingdom Hearts III, revealing a brand new world. In these screenshots, you can see Sora, Donald and Goofy visiting the world of Monsters Inc. Fitting to the theme, the characters also have new monster forms. You can also see some story elements such as the heroes meeting James and Mike in the headquarters. These screenshots are allegedly from the developers’ version but it’s worth noting that it’s not guaranteed that they are completely real as some impressive fake leaks have been hovering around the internet. Which worlds would you like to see in the game? . Square Enix is expected to share more details about Kingdom Hearts III next year. The game is now in development for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

  . Square Enix has announced Final Fantasy XIV Meister Quality Figure – Shiva. This gorgeous well-crafted figure will be released in mid-February 2018. The pricing starts at at 13 800 yen / $144.99 / €139.99 with -10% discount to pre-orders on Square Enix Online Store. Shiva is also accompanied by a code that gives players access to “Ballroom Etiquette – Diamond Dust” – emote in Final Fantasy XIV. The code is tied to the FFXIV service account chosen upon its activation, and can be given to all characters on the account. World of Final Fantasy Meli-Melo Releasing on December 12 In Japan . Square Enix has announced that World of Final Fantasy Meli-Melo will be releasing on December 12, 2017 in Japan.

It’s been over a year now since the Final Fantasy XV Universe was unleashed into the world, including the game, the anime series and the full length film – Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV. After that the universe has expanded from VR / mobiles games to crossover events in games like Tekken 7. Today, we are getting the first look at new concept art created for Kingsglaive. . The newly released concept art features daylight, evening and night cityscapes of Insomnia before and after the destruction caused by the imperial invasion.  In one of the artworks, you can see the memorial plaza where Kingsglaive traitors and Glauca pursued Lunafreya Nox Fleuret and Nyx Ulric in order to get the royal ring that commands the power of the crystal. To fulfil his duties as a glaive, Nyx puts on Ring of the Lucii – knowing fully of the huge sacrifice he is about to make. Granted with otherworldly powers, Nyx fends off Glauca and takes command of the Old Wall to protect the city from the Niflheim’s deamons – resulting in a gigantic battle throughout Insomnia. In other works, you can also see the outer side of the city showing the new wall and constructions of the expanding city.

Behind these artworks is a concept design and visual development studio – Pixoloid Studios – based in Budapest, Hungary. Their key task in the Kingsglaive project was to help the production team at Puppetworks Animation, Square Enix and DIGIC Pictures by providing detailed concepts of the city scenes. The studio worked on establishing environments, detailed textures and showing light references to help the art department build up the environment in this style and visual language.

The EX system features two types of skills: there are shared skills that every character can use, abilities such as Protect or Bio and a signature EX skills that are specific to each character – like in the earlier entries in the series. Cutify Yourself with World of Final Fantasy -Meli-Melo- . Last week, Square Enix revealed World of Final Fantasy Meli-Melo for iOS / Android platform, and opened pre-registration for Japanese fans to unlock additional in-game rewards. Currently, the game has reached over 400 000 pre-registered players with only two milestones left. As of now, pre-registered players will be receiving 4500 crystals, a cat avatar accessory and white / black mage outfits. Once the game has reached 500 000 registrations in Japan, the players will receive additional 3500 crystals and a 4-star Shiva monster unit. Square Enix also released a a massive fankit consisting of nearly 30 avatars and four wallpapers for mobile. . World of Final Fantasy Meli-Melo is the second entry in the Final Fantasy spin-off series – set for release at the end of 2017 in Japan. With producer Shinji Hashimoto and director Hiroki Chiba in charge, Square Enix and Drecom Studio are hoping to make the series more accessible for new fans by bringing it on mobile platforms.

One of the new features in Meli-Meli is an online multiplayer that allows you to team-up with friends or strangers in challenging monster fights. . In Famitsu interview, the developers revealed interesting tidbits about the first game’s development: When the prototyping started for World of Final Fantasy, they originally planned it for mobile platforms. However, the team decided that it’s wiser to develop the console version first because they weren’t completely sure where to go with the direction. This has made the development of Meli-Melo much easier, allowing them to recycle assets and create new ones on faster phase. Square Enix estimates that World of Final Fantasy has sold over 800 000 copies worldwide. It has motivated them to bring another game for consoles as well. . World of Final Fantasy Melo-Melo is yet to be announced for the West. The console sequel is being planned, however, schedule and platforms are still unknown. Square Enix has recently expressed their interest in bringing more titles for Nintendo Switch, making it a possible platform for the next World of Final Fantasy game.
