Thoughts on the production team of Deadpool 2 blaming forced diversity for what happened with the motorcycle incident?
Its stupid.
You think there are many black, female stunt women who specialize in high speed motorcycle stunts? No. Stunt work is extremely dangerous, black people only make up 12% of the US population and you’re demanding an additional specialization on top of that.
It isn’t a “lack of diversity” that did this. Its like demanding you hire a 7 foot tall, professional Japanese basketball player who specializes in 3 point shots. You’re just not going to have a lot of fucking options.
Lets not mince words here. They wanted a black female stunt woman for ideological reasons. And so they lowered the bar, several times over, to get what they want. And it got the woman killed.
This would be EXACTLY like if your fire station wanted more female firefighters, so they lowered the physical requirements by several steps. And then you fucking blame “lack of diversity” when she couldn’t pull a person out of a burning fire and she burned to death because of it.
