Something has got to give. I have spent my entire life in fight or flight mode; my entire life in poverty, picking and choosing what gets paid and what doesn’t…

I can’t afford my car, I can’t afford my jobs, I can’t afford food.

My parents are perpetually upset with me, I’m struggling to get up each morning and for what?

To find out I have less rights than a gun that will be used to come in and shoot me or my students one day?

To wait around with the insidious hope that things will “work out” or “get better”?

Things don’t get better, I just eventually lose sight of stresses as new stresses pile on, forcing me into a semblance of functionality that crumbles the moment I feel like “thing have gotten better”…

…because the instant I take a breath and relax, my system, which has been in fight or flight mode the entire time, crashes; and with it my ability to maintain the systems that created a sense of security.

All for the cycle to start over again. My friends end up feeling used from how often I need to rely on them to help me through hard times; My mental health is eroded away more and more until I’ve become nothing but a shadow of who I am, who I want to be and who I could have been.

And at some point, I’m not going to be able to muster enough strength to push through, to push myself back up, to crawl back over the ledge where I’ve been dangling, the ropes meant to help me only strangling me as I struggle to hold on…

aaaaaand FINISHED! Lighting is something I still struggle with, but I am satisfied with how this came out :D If you’d like to read the fic/chapter this image goes with, you can find it HERE. If you enjoy it, don’t get too disappointed, because this puppy (pun intended) has been on hiatus for about 6 years now. I do plan on finishing it, it’s simply been a really rough 6 years : / Anywho, baby Kagome and Puppy-maru… now onto the next piece! *whispers* zoom in for details!

I really enjoy the story, and wanted to show the aftermath of Chat’s “distraction” technique XD This was supposed to be a simple crack sketch of her on her face, but the other characters were begging to be part of the show! 

I did my best to emulate @zoe-oneesama‘s style, because it’s cute as hell. Which means I had about 20-30 tabs of the comic open at all times for references lol

Also, I totes stole the belt from the collab art I did with @kaethemonster, because why do from scratch what I had already painted before? manipulated the coloring to help it match her outfit as Scarlet Lady. 

For those of you who haven’t read the comic, it is amazing, and I highly recommend it!!! Here is a LINK to the part of the comic this is a reaction for- is gooooood XD

Kagami listening to the mix-tape Nino recorded for her next tournament! I seriously imagine they would probably be pretty good friends teasing Adrien and Marinette! Alya has a secret girl crush on her, and appreciates her keeping Nino safe while she is out getting that good LadyNoir footage :D :D Had fun with this one! I imagine Kagami’s hair is super thick, and she’d like it out of her face now and then lol! Dedicated to @lahiffed, who needs some SUGARpositivity on her blog after all that salt!!! ;) (this is what happens when I can’t sleep lol)
