Guys I’m so sorry if this is big news to you and I forgot to update y’all but I was notified three days ago I’d be starting placement today and I JUST FINISHED MY FIRST DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was sick as hell. This is a smaller scale hospital and it’s kinda quiet BUT that means all my supervisors actually have time :3 to answer my questions :3 and explain shit to me :3 and to LET ME TRY THINGS with real patients bc they’re not in such a rush it’s always ‘maybe you can try next time’ and eeeeeeeee it’s actually so slay.

my ears were a problem and will likely continue to be and I’m completely overstimulated but like ???? Almost in a cool way. Like I’m gonna sink into a cocoon in a minute but I’m finally using the parts of my doctor brain that were so dormant for so long and it feels good.

Also the drive is like 90 minutes each way which means even if I do my minimum shift length (9 hours) I’m out of the house for 12 on a Good traffic day but I’m yet to hate this, it was kinda peaceful time to decompress in my cone of silence (20 year old car whose soothing rumble drowns out all other noise)
