I haaaaaate that the thg movie added that scene of Gale not watching the games and didn't mention in the movie that watching the games was mandatory.

People weren't watching it in the districts because they liked it or wanted to, they watched it because the capitol made Not watching it rebellion, and therefore you may have an unfortunate appointment with the gallows or whipping post if you didn't.

It also fails to add context to the fact that Gale wasn't only displaying base decency by not watching it in that scene, he was Literally breaking the law twice in that moment by being a) in the woods and b) by not watching the games.

Congrats for making everybody else seem terrible And not giving Gale's rebellion the gravity is deserved, I guess?
