We’ve got a message for Democratic lawmakers who co-sponsor censorship bills and collaborate with Trump’s fascist agenda: we won’t let you rest until you stop doing their dirty work. Today, a billboard truck is circling Connecticut Senator Richard Blumenthal’s office in downtown Hartford, calling him out for reintroducing censorship bill KOSA1 and betraying his queer and trans constituents— and we paid for it. It wasn’t in our budget, but someone had to draw a line in the sand this Pride Month, and we couldn’t pass up the opportunity. Can you help cover the $1,925 it cost to demand Dems like Blumenthal stop helping Trump carry out his queerphobic censorship fantasies?

The Kids Online Safety Act (KOSA) would give Trump’s FTC full power to censor online free speech and block young people from accessing life-saving information and community online.2 It’s a censorship bill couched in “child safety” that proponents and enforcers like Senator Marsha Blackburn,3 Elon Musk,4 and FTC Chair Andrew Ferguson5 would proudly use to “fight back against the trans agenda” and any topic they don’t approve of. Abortion care access, political speech, and LGBTQ+ content are all on the line.

Blumenthal’s cooperation with this ghoulish bill, especially during Trump’s escalating crackdowns on marginalized communities, is unconscionable. We’ve tried everything: hundreds of thousands of young people have sent letters to Congress,2 hundreds more parents of trans kids penned a letter begging lawmakers not to pass this dangerous bill,6 we’ve written op-eds,7 met with offices, and still, Blumenthal is choosing the wrong side of history. So we took it to Blumenthal's doorstep and made him face the reality of his choices head-on.

jason and reyna as praetors knew their rank was a death mark.

golden laurels, lightweight and always glinting, a giveaway in a fight, a good mark for archer to aim, a shining fucking bait, and they had to wear them everywhere of importance as its written in the law of the new rome.

octavian wasn't aiming for praetorhood because of idle dream - his cousins from second cohort literally held the position for 6 years as he was growing up. his family was hoping that once they were removed from the rank - either by death or choice - they could have another praetor loyal to them by blood.

joy and peter weren't even twenty one when monsters caught them coming from the quest near the river. there were no eyewitnesses to testify what kind of monsters, the only thing gleaned post factum that there were at least three.

getting killed by three monsters when there's two of you even if you were worn out by fights before is not a good death by roman standarts.

when they got crowned amidst the screaming 5th cohort - first praetors for the the last 50 years! - both of them didn't smile.

every single time reyna looked at octavian wearing laurels she would see his cousin bloated face, black with half of the eyeball missing and ears torn out. joy did not look anything like him, except they had the same ears, and walked same, and had one look of disgust for two of them.

KOSA Has Been Reintroduced - Take Action to Stop It!!!

KOSA won’t make kids more safe. Instead, it’ll put youth in danger by preventing them from accessing resources they need. Concern about young people’s harm from Big Tech are valid and real, but enabling censorship that harms the most marginalized kids is not the answer. Lawmakers concerned about online safety should reject KOSA and instead work to protect all internet users from abusive tech companies by passing a federal data privacy law and measures that do not threaten online communities that queer and trans youth depend on.

There is going to be a hearing on several bills in the Senate including S.1829 June 5th. Like other bills meant to protect children online, S.1829 as written does more harm then good. This hearing is believed to be a markup hearing, so use the information below to call the Senate Judiciary Committee. When you call make sure you emphasize the threat Trump poses is such a bill were to pass, especially to the Democratic members. Make sure to call between now and June 5th.

i feel like reyna? because for her to have gotten to the point of being able to fall for someone again, and this time for genuine reason, i like to think she put the work into loving herself too. so confessing her feelings for thalia at that point in a way is like an affirmation to herself that “hey, if theres a chance this can be a thing, you deserve it.” also i think thalia with everything shes been through is the type to think like. it doesnt really matter if she gets heartbroken or if she pines one-sidedly anymore, she’ll manage to pick herself up somehow anyway. so shes less likely to take the initiative

if theyre both in the hunt, they definitely tell artemis first. if reyna isnt a hunter, i like to think she told nico, because nico’s reaction would be really funny (“thalia? oh… okay… 💀”)

hylla asks reyna if she needs to give thalia a shovel talk, but otherwise she has a good impression of thalia from when the hunters and amazons worked together to kill orion. jason who is very much alive finds all this awkward and straight up shakes their hands like hes at a business meeting. reyna just barely manages to stop herself from doubling over in laughter and pulls him in for a hug, telling him with no small amount of wistfulness that she hopes they get another chance to rebuild their friendship in this way
