A Year In A Start Up

It’s been one hell of a year! Many Ups and a few Downs, but we are here and a full year down the line we can say we’ve made it and enjoyed every minute. So, here’s a bit about our journey, where it’s taken us and what it’s ultimately made us.

 As a pretty loud group of people, we had some big ideas to bring to the table and absolutely refused to not make them happen. We live in such an amazing place with so many events that it would be crazy not to take advantage of them.

 First things first though…

  Bournemouth Air Festival 2016 - One of the biggest events held every year along our beautiful Sea Front. We love the sun so absolutely jumped at the opportunity to take advantage of the weather and get involved with this established event.

We branded some major names on consumables and spent our days on the beach taking pictures of these and pushing brand awareness to the max. This was a successful event, but with us being who we are this year’s event will be even bigger and louder.

  Bournemouth  Winter Market 2016- SSD Loves Christmas Time and being involved with the Winter Market was a great opportunity to don our gloves and scarves and get warmed up with a Pumpkin Spiced Latte while working with the Winter Market to provide all the consumables cups with branding from 6 different local companies.

  Arts by the Sea Festival – Always happy to get involved with community driven events, we supplied consumables on the seafront again branding numerous local companies who wanted to be seen during this Artistic and creative event.

  Bournemouth Bay Run - By far the biggest campaign to date. In association with The Training Room we provided branded water bottles , branded cups, banners and goody bags for all the runners. As well as the training room supplying prizes for both the male and female 10k run winners. Everyone at SSD got hands on at this event getting down there at 5AM to help the event organisers set up. All in all a great day.

 While these events were great fun, we are a company that wants to be different. We started delving int o the world of building hijacks and drones…

  ‘’Let’s get some more gadgets!! ‘’ one of the boys said. A couple of drones, a Go-Pro, a projector and a lot of new cameras down the line … and the rest is history as they say 

The SSD team loves a good road trip so we decided to visit Cambridge, St Alban’s, Brighton and Southampton, to show them how it’s done. Now, it wasn���t all smooth sailing, we hit a few bumps along the road. We may have got chased down the street a couple of times, and someone who shall not be named, may have lost a drone to the roof of St Alban’s !!… But we have learnt a lot from all this. We love projecting on buildings, flying drones and causing a stir. In short, we love making your brand the talk of the town. 

  As we move into our second year, we look forward to new projects and innovative ideas.
