Well this is certainly unexpected- uhh, hello everybody! It's been a while since I posted, but I bring some good news with me. I have one new metal cardbot, and a very familiar face- but shiny and brand new >_< First up, the May 2025 Dodger Redesign!! Honestly, I'm not unhappy with the first version, I only decided to redesign them because lately I've been practicing mecha, and it only felt right to give them a fresh new look. (You can tell that I got lazy very quick- I didn't feel like doing a fancy reference sheet I'm sorryyy ;;)

Next, we have my newest oc, Thorned Valor. I'm sure you can tell that by her little loin cloth, she is a Star Guardian. I'm happy to explain her lore, but I can only type so much on one post. I might do a lore dump on them at a later date, but for now here she is ^^

Buster let the creature flopped onto his big right hand. He was wondering what kind of creature was this one. A bunny? A cat? A bunny cat? A cat bunny? And more importantly, why does this creature look strangely familiar

He slowly and carefully moved the creature close to his eyes, with him squinting his eyes to observe the creature a little bit more attentively

"You look familiar..."

The creature looked up at him expectantly, it seemed to recognize him.

I wonder why Daybreak's wings are damaged, can you tell us a little bit please

Woah, hi there! This is the first ask I've gotten on tumblr, like ever- lol. I'd be happy to tell you why her wings are damaged, although the lore is a little extensive—I hope you don't mind ;; though I will try to shorten it, sorry if I don't catch myself when I've been yapping too much. ALSO I'm sorry for not answering sooner, I rarely check my inbox- Anyway—Daybreak's lore is actually pretty sad, at least in my opinion. Since there isn't exactly any lore for Machina (to my knowledge, I'm not that far into S2) most of Daybreak's lore happened in locations that I made up in my own time. She lived in a district and worked as a performer, though in this district it was more for racing and live events. She wasn't doing this by herself though, she was an apprentice under a mech named Lunveil. He was also a jet, just like her (The SR-71 Blackbird to be specific) and I imagined that in this district, flier cardbots were more well known for being performers. The two of them were very close for the most part—until Lunveil had an accident. His engine exploded, permanently disabling him. His wings were also damaged beyond repair, meaning no amount of maintenance could fix him. Daybreak sort of took his place since there was now nobody to be her mentor, which made her very quickly rise to fame, which she didn't want. Lunveil, on the other hand, was forced into a management role, overseeing land cardbots—more commonly known for being racers— a job he despised. (For a little more context, he had the mindset that land cardbots were "inferior" to fliers.) Over time, he grew to hate Daybreak. He was a deeply egotistical mech, and jealousy was one of his strongest traits. Fast forward to the fall of Machina—Daybreak finds herself encountering Lunveil again after being separated from him. She was never the fighter type, but that didn’t really stop Lunveil. When she tried to escape by flying away, he shot her with a plasma beam straight to the back. The damage was ultimately irreversible, and by the time she made it to Earth, there was nothing else that could be done. She is now a flier cardbot who is permanently unable to fly.

LIKE I SAID- Sorry if it's really extensive! I felt that a lot of this deserved context in other places in order to make sense, but uh- yeah! That's the reason behind Daybreak's tattered wings, I hope it answered your question (and hopefully any others you had in mind ^^)

So I bring to you their updated sheets, this time with their alt modes! (I realized just today that their vehicles are not obvious at all just with their designs, so that's my bad-)
