Inside Myanmar’s Rohingya camps: What it looks like to be a refugee in your own country (PHOTOS)
Today tens of thousands of Rohingya Muslims live in internment camps along Myanmar’s west coast. Despite generations of history in the country’s Rakhine State, members of the minority are referred to as “Bengalis” by the Buddhist majority, who regard them as illegal immigrants from Bangladesh.
When sectarian riots broke out in June 2012, killing scores and displacing thousands, security forces removed Rohingya to camps encircling Rahkine’s state capital, Sittwe, supposedly for their own safety.
Instead, nearly four years later, they suffer from chronic malnutrition, receive minimal medical care and are forbidden to travel freely outside the camps — let alone return home.
These photos were taken in several internally displaced person (IDP) camps outside Sittwe in January 2016.

Social Media Skills
My social skills are fairly menial at this point. I am active on Facebook and Instagram but I do not post very consistently, however, I still enjoy browsing through these social platforms. I just started Twitter, however, I have yet to post my first tweet.
So if I had to give my self an overall rating on a scale of 1 to Zuckerberg, I’d be around a 5.
I think that I need to learn more about all platforms, and specifically more on how to be a quality contributor. I would also like to become familiar with Tumblr and Hootesuite.

My social media experience on Tumblr.
Well, theres a lot going on on here. Luckily most of it consists of big giant pictures and easy to read titles. Being that I have a somewhat of a simple-minded brain, I ain’t even mad. It seems like there is a ton of intermingled, niche content on here that might be a bit daunting to navigate through at the beginning. But once you get your bearings, you realize that this murky, unsuspecting social network can actually offer some unique perspectives and meaningful substance. I’ve found the migrant crisis in the Middle East quite fascinating so I think this will be my first contribution to this brave new world I’ve entered:
