A NOSEBLEED WAS A RELIEF.  She had seen somethings down here and a nosebleed was the most normal thing to happen.   no one was dying.    things were not exploding.  they weren’t going to be giving med bay a headache.   ❛  Mr Scott i’ve experienced my fair share of medical emergencies down here but this might be the least serious.   though I’m sure Dr McCoy would tell you otherwise. ❜

THEY WERE AN ODD CHOICE TO BE APART OF A LANDING PARTY.  two contrasting personalities.    optimistic   and    the weird mixture that was Doctor McCoy.    still, a little bit of her was amused by his response.    ❛ Positive as usual Doctor.    They might not be that dangerous...  and we have our Starfleet training. ❜    working in engineering gave you many life skills.    Learning to deal with life threatening situations everyday was one of them.

reasons i haven’t replied back:
- i’m socially exhausted - i don’t have the time right now - i don’t know how to reply - i have a bad memory and got distracted - i’m having a depressive episode and don’t have the energy to socialise
not reasons i haven’t replied back:
- i’m ignoring you just because - i hate you - i’m fed up with you - i don’t want to be your friend anymore

it goes without saying but as an engineer who is a blue shirt,   charlenes loves the enterprise (and whatever other ship she is stationed on) but yeah.  much love for the ships.    much love for science.   star trek encyclopedia calls her a staff engineer so she’s a staff engineer.

what’s worse being an engineer or red shirt on the u.s.s enterprise OR being a bridge crew member on the u.s.s discovery?   discuss.

the discovery is more dangerous than AOS enterprise which explodes everyday pretty much. meanwhile prime enterprise is looking at you all like:     EXPLORATION! we’re just here learning.

when you have such a weird job, starfleet are like ‘here have a blue shirt’ but work in enginering, have fun surrounded by red. ALSO, a few years later being like ‘yeah you’re going to be placed on the U.S.S Enterprise where your two commanding officers will be completely different, have fun’     like starfleet, what the frick?
charlene around spock and the science peeps:   yes formal science stuff.
charlene around scotty and the engineering peeps:  doing dangerous stuff, stay with the burning engineering consoles and do everything completely illogically but SAVE THE SHIP. when the red shirt is dragging you away, girl - you need to go.
