Stanley tried to use the vents to get to the swimming pool. He thought he had cracked how to get past Narrator's ban (dumb fuck), but had forgotten that even though Narrator did spend more time in his human form now, he could also go back to being a voice whenever he wanted. He just watched Stanley crawl through the vents, purposely making them dustier as he progressed until he had to practically swim through dust. At least he got to swim.

I know that this game isn't popular anymore but remember Stanley Parable?
Why does the narrator even allow us to do the "incorrect choices"?
He has control over the game, complete control. He decides what doors to open, to what room they lead to.
So, why do we have a choice? Why does the two doors are open? Why the "inncorrect choice" has well made rooms while the doors that are locked behind don't have them?
I think the narrator is almost never honest with us. I don't think any of the endings or any of our choices are "incorrect".
Like i sad, if he wanted us to not have a choice, he wouldn't give us a choice. He would lock the doors.
There is ine ending that confirms it for me. One the two ending where i think he IS honest. One where we are out bounds and he starts to freak out.
He tries to make a jokes, but sees us not reacting and starts to worry. He says it himself in that ending, none of our choices are incorrect, he just wants us to do something. - I think it perfectly describes what narrator true intentions are.
He isn't some story teller that had a story he wanted to tell, and we ruin it.
Hes a comedian who willingly gives us choice about how the story goes.
And the other narrator? Her voice is robotic, emotionless. I think it's just the male narrator trying to trick us.
She says that the narrator needs stanley, that he needs us. She says that all of the paths were CREATED long time ago in advance.
I think that's also a time where hes honest with us, he needs us, needs someone to entertain. Hes just a game, that's his job.

“ both The Stanley Parable and The Beginner's Guide can be seen as the importance of the death of the author but from different perspectives.
one is the actual author, frustrated that their work isn't being taken in the way they want it to be. the other is a reader, desperately trying to figure out what the author's work means to the author themselves. what does this mean? man I don’t know I’m not smart enough to dissect it further than that ”
^ found in my notes. what was I doing

Curator was a peace. She had a wonderful girlfriend, who could move about the Parable, and she had most of it to herself. She had locked Stanley and Narrator in the broom closet and told them to 'fight it out'. Neither of them could throw a punch; Stanley was built like a wet twig, and Narrator thought too highly of his hands to ever use them for 'heavy-duty work'.
