Stanxeno manga spoilers and headcanons probably even facts…
Slightly angst 😔
Manga spoilers!!!
I feel like when Stanley got pertified again, xeno had a lot of breakdowns. Like imagine you were w your childhood friend for most of the time in your life then you barely see eachother cuz of work, pertication happens and they spent like 4 years (?) together almost every day and now that he got revived and Stanley not for +3 years I’m pretty sure he was craving his best friend OFTEN. Like imagine someone you spent every day for years and you can’t talk to them/ see them anymore but you know that they would be back and it depends on you. I bet he worked so hard for the moon project. Many sleepless nights and ofc he is super passionate abt rocket stuff but I’m pretty sure his motivation was to realive Stanley as fast as possible. During the American colony I’m sure xeno overworked himself w projects but Stanley was here to stop him to overwork himself often. He often thought about these times, also when now Stanley was not there anymore, other people might have stopped him to overwork himself like Luna, chelsea etc. but he never listens to them.
I feel so bad for Xeno….this is so cruel…getting the person you trust the most back lays all in your hands and it’s YEARS you are without them…. They even hid Stanley’s statue so xeno couldn’t even go to Stanley….
The moment they told him that they will reawaken Stanley I’m sure at that day Xeno couldn’t control his emotions… he was super happy at that moment but not showing any weakness to the others (Gen realized it) but once he was in private I’m sure he took everything of emotions out.
Man I wish we would have seen scenes were Stanley and xeno just talk privately once Stanley got back…. 😭I am sure Xeno even cried infront of him and Stanley hugged him then cuz he knew that the times were Stanley would be stoned will be really hard for Xeno. Stanley probably even had thought that they would never reawaken him again or even if he gets reawakened that it will be too late and that he won’t be able to see Xeno another time again

Heyo! Anon back. I want you to know that there is always going to be someone reading and rereading your meta posts, and it is going to be me. A bit embarrassing to admit, but I check your blog every morning as I'm making coffee and it makes my day when i get new ideas to chew on. Anyhow, enough mushy stuff. I feel like Xeno has a perfect idea in his head of who he wants to be, which he puts on a big performance for (hello giant menacing castle and completely impractical claws), but his heart just really doesn't let him commit all the way. Senku puts on his own "I'm a completely logical/pragmatic mad scientist" performance of him own, so thats not a problem. The problem is he does manage to take it pretty far, when he's drunk on the lack of oversight. It's obvious that he didn't want Stanley to shoot when he discovered Senku, but at that point he was so caught up in his own hype that he does commit to the bit, against his heart's desires. The imagery in that scene is also pretty great. I'm sure he was stressing hard over that decision internally, and all the emotions that came with that primed him for his anti-heel-turn later. Thank you very much for that amazing linguistics breakdown btw. Nothing makes me happier than finding stuff out that I never would've gotten on my own in a million years.
I've been thinking over this one for a bit now. You sent it while I was at my parents' for Mothers' Day, but I mostly kept re-reading it because I wasn't sure how I wanted to answer.
(I do usually try to think through what I answer people, most of the time)
Because this hit wrong, but I couldn't quite say way.
I think what it is, is that while Xeno and Senku both pretend to be people they're not, I don't think either is actually trying to be.
Yes, Senku does pull a "Mad, emotionless scientist" thing a couple times, but...like with Yuzuriha, when he was trying to convince Tsukasa he didn't care about her...I mean, the idea that Senku was trying to convince himself not to care is ludicrous. Especially as this is right around the time where we get him swearing vehemently that he'd find a way to save anyone, somehow. He wanted Tsukasa to let her go as a useless hostage, because he's not the type of person to kill a useless hostage anyway.
It didn't work, but the playacting wasn't meant for himself, and it certainly wasn't an attempt to actually be a person who didn't care if Yuzuriha lived or died. Senku doesn't always care about the same things other people do, but that's not because he's emotionless or something, it's just 'cause he's weird and probably autistic.
Similarly, I don't think Xeno is like. Trying to be a dictator because for some reason he thinks being a dictator is the kind of person he wants to be. He's just kind of a loon and deals with rejection extremely poorly, and this was his solution to being told 'no.'
Overreaction, thy name is Xeno Houston Wingfield.
Like, he was telling his coworkers he was thinking about dictatorship idea well before that was a realistic possibility or something he was trying to be, and I don't think he was actually trying to edgelord them out of speaking to him. He's just a weird freak who was actually fantasizing about that.
Xeno puts on a dramatic, showy performance about. Everything. But I don't think that's because he's trying too hard; I think he's just...like...that. When he's talking about being the "scientist of darkness" compared to Senku's "scientist of light" it's not...really because that's what he wants to be. He's doing that William bullshit of casting himself as a villain to make other people swallow pragmatics better. Or Gen, for that matter. We see him still doing that even before they wake up Stan, when he offers to let them blame Stan's resurrection on him even though it was blatantly not his idea or request. And Ryusui tells him they're not letting him play villain anymore and they don't need him to do that, and they're owning their own decisions.
Unfortunately, it appears I have a weakness for brilliant STEM nerd theatre kids who like to play the villain and wear too much black (I say while in head-to-toe black. But hey there's a dragon on my shirt...?).
But anyway, by the point that conversation with Ryusui is happening, it's pretty clear Xeno's well past actually trying to be some kind of villain. But he's still offering to play it. And he's willing to be a dictator if it means he can do his science. And he's willing to pretend to be the kind of person who kills Senku without a care in the world--the phrase he uses in Japanese is pretty literally "Not bothered." Not an order, not a request, just, "Yeah, I don't mind, you can do that," which is. Blatantly false.
How dare you lie to your husband, Xeno Houston Wingfield.
(I'm pretty sure Stan knows. He asked for a reason)
Does Xeno want to be the kind of person who's not upset to kill his mentee? I...I don't know. We don't really get to see a lot of his reaction in the aftermath until he knows Senku's alive, honestly. We're focused on the much more important part of making sure Senku's not dying. And what we do see of Xeno is not...private, so he's still putting on his show. Kind of hard to make too much of a guess at that. We get to see Xeno grieve in advance, and he gives himself space to do that. Unlike many American men who just sort of shove that part down and try not to deal with it ever.
I don't know. Pretending to be something and hiding yourself with a facade is not really the same thing as wanting to change the actual structure underneath and is in fact often a way to keep that internal structure intact as it is, protect it, and let it get away with what's actually going on under the surface. Man, we even see that with Stan's ghillie suit: that's the unassuming camouflage so that you can move under darkness without anyone knowing your true intentions so they cannot stop you.
Gen is our master of that in this series. But that doesn't mean no one else knows how to do it.
And Xeno really, really doesn't like being stopped when he's got a goal in mind.
Fun With Linguistics is one of my favorite things to do here on Tumblr, honestly. It helps me get better at the language, too, the same way diagramming sentences in English helps people understand how English works (spoiler: I was required to take a Structure of English class for my major which was heavy on sentence-diagramming).
But buying all these volumes is. Not great at this time, so I'm sort of doing it slowly when I get real, real curious. Also everyone in this series talks in very colloquial ways and I have to keep asking more fluent friends what shit like やんじゃん means.
For God's sake, Stan, can you please actually say whole words
Anyway, I appreciate the compliments <3 I just especially like hearing feedback--and that long-ass post about Xeno required a lot of editing to figure out what the fuck my point even was, so I wasn't sure it came out...coherent.

-he meets his s/o during work and you’re the one who started talking to him
-s/o is a doctor (sorry) so gives health advices too
-he often is tired from work and s/o sees that and takes care of him (shares their food, ask if he slept today etc)

-so basically like that you got friends
-you once ask him to go to a bar w him and well that’s evening started to get interesting
- it takes both y’all a while until you’re finally together but during the dating phase he gifted you a lot of things (this man’s love language is gifting and words of afflimation but in a nerdy way)
-he often gifted you red roses because he thinks red suits you a lot
-xeno wants a s/o who is clever and you being a doctor is a plus point (and if you’re also interested in science)
-y’all’s first kiss happen when you are drunk. You’re the one kissing him but well! You couldn’t resist because he is a tease and had his arm around your waist.
-but he was happy when you kissed him and he kissed you back
-After a while he mentioned Stanley and you got curious who that is so he introduced you to Stanley (while he yapped about you to Stanley when you guys first met)
-your first time w him was planned
-it was also his first time so he was scared to do anything wrong (he maybe even asked Stanley for advice LMAO)
-after you guys did it you are even closer. You often sleep at his place like you guys live together already
-After years of dating he wants to make family with you and asks you how many children you want to have etc.
-I feel like he wants 1 kid ( because too many kids would be too much for him especially since he works a lot) and he is a girl dad
-if you happen to become pregnant someday it was definitely planned

Could I get a xeno x fem reader where the reader was also a nasa scientist and they reunite after petrification and the reader was with the kingdom of science. Maybe the readers body drifted to Japan and senku recognized her or something. Thank you very much!!
I'm so sorry I think I strayed a bit far from the plot, I had to keep walking away and coming back to it.
-------------------
Without Me!?!
Xeno Wingfield x Fem!Reader
Description: Originally, being with the Japanese colony meant you knew nothing of what happened around the rest of the world; come to your surprise when you arrive in America and find out your husband and his stupid best friend are the ones you fight with you promptly tell them off.
Warnings: Cursing, sorry ass Xeno again, sappy shit lol, sprinkle angst.
A/N: sorry this took so long and if it's a bit all over the place.
Words: 822
-------------------
"You three with me now." You were beyond pissed, and you hoped it showed on your face; Senku was about to interrupt till he saw your glare and followed where you were leading the two leaders and the soldier. You walked away from your two groups to talk privately with the three men.
"My Dear-" Xeno started while holding his hands to you. Your glare hardened, and Stanley tried to hide a laugh with a cough. You sigh through your nose, not knowing where to start; the two scientists begin fidgeting while the sniper smokes. You eventually spoke up, starting with what made you the most mad about your situation.
"Seriously, Xeno." He looks up.
"STARTING A WAR WITH A CHILD?" You yell at him while pointing in said boy's direction; Stanley takes a step back while Xeno tries not to shrink back at your rage.
"I'm almost twenty." Senku starts, and you whip around to give him an unimpressed look, which shuts down the rest of his witty remarks.
"AND THEN WITH THE WORLD DOMINATION?" Xeno's staring down at his shoes now, and you continue to fuss at him before turning your tirade on to his best friend, asking how he could endorse him while you were gone.
"I go to Japan, and the apocalypse starts, and the two of you decide to become tyrants in my absence? Are you serious right now?" It takes everything in you not to strangle Stanley when he shrugs his shoulders. You hold your head in your hands, and Stanley grabs Senku and leaves you and your husband to have a moment to talk. You fall to your knees with a sob and furiously rub your eyes. Xeno comes and sits in front of you, wraps his arms around you, and slowly rocks you while mumbling to you.
"Do you know how scary it was to wake up on the other side of the world, having people speaking a different language, not seeing you when I woke up?" You told him, your eyes cloudly, thinking about how worried you were about him, spending years away from him, not knowing if he was awake.
"I was terrified when I woke and realized you weren't anywhere in the surrounding area. I had Stanley looking for you for days, " he tells you in turn while petting you absently. You rest your face on his chest and look up at him. He looks down at you, removes his gloves, and his bare hands meet the skin under your eyes, wiping away the rest of your tears. You lean into his hands, and he kisses your eyes gently before kissing your lips. You smile into the kiss, wrap your arms around him, and hum in his lips. The both of you bask in each other's presence for a bit before Xeno hoists you up to your feet; he leads you back to the fortress.
When both groups met to have a peaceful dinner to celebrate progress and move forward with each other, the dinner was highly awkward; any conversations that were being had were held with the respective group members and not with each other. You sat at the table with all the scientists: Suika, Chrome, Senku, and Xeno. Along with a few of the warriors: Tsukasa, Stanley, and Kohaku. And Gen ( You don't know when he joined.) Gen broke the silence with a simple question for you and Xeno.
"How did you and Xeno-chan meet?" There was a devious glint in his eyes. Xeno looked at you, which was a sign that you could answer.
"We met at one of Stanley's military events; we were the only people there wearing all black. I got a little closer to where he was to get a better look at who I thought was the most beautiful person at that sad excuse for a gala." As you told them, you spoke with a dreamy tone, and a few of the other members started to listen and pay attention.
"What was your first conversation like?" Suika butted in. This time, Xeno answered.
"She inquired about the documents I was overlooking during the event. She watched me with such rapture when I told her about them." He shares with a slight chuckle while looking at you again. Senku lets out a gag, and Stanley is grinning at you both. There's a few awe from the table, and you notice that the groups are now mingling. The others broke off into chats, and you and Xeno started your own one.
"Was it only my clothing you found interesting?" He asks while leaning closer.
"No, your intellect was also quite elegant, my love." You whisper to him and then flick his forehead; his pale skin turns pink. You spend the rest of the time sharing stories from the old world and making up for the days you drifted and ended up in Japan.

the night air was cold—biting, seeping through the layers of your clothing. if not for the fire burning steadily before you, crackling and spitting embers into the dark, you were sure you’d have long perished to the frigid temperatures. of course, you were just being dramatic, but who could blame you? the chill was relentless, clinging to your skin, creeping its way into your bones despite the flickering warmth just a few feet away. what you would give to be peacefully resting in your bed back at the base. (you’d give anything).
yet, nothing ever seemed to go your way. not when xeno had casually informed you of your impromptu trip to collect data on the group—boat? colony? whatever they were—that had decided to take refuge on your lands.
with a quiet sigh, you tore your gaze away from the dancing flames, their golden glow casting fleeting shadows across the ground, and instead, let your eyes settle on something—or rather, someone—far more captivating.
stanley.
the glow of the fire painted him in hues of amber and burnt orange, accentuating the sharp cut of his jaw, emphasizing the intensity of his amber eyes, the way they seemed to gaze into your very soul. you peer down to his lips, the faintest smirk seemed to permanently linger at their edge. a cigarette burned between his fingers, the glowing ember pulsing each time he took a slow, measured drag. the smoke curled around him like a specter, twisting into the cold air before vanishing into the dark.
there was something almost hypnotic about the way he moved—deliberate, calculated, never a motion wasted. even in something as simple as smoking, there was precision, an ease that came with routine. his golden eyes, always sharp, flicked toward you, catching you in the act of watching him.
the smirk on his face deepened. “see something you like?” he drawled, voice low, almost seductive.
you groan, rolling your eyes, feigning disinterest. you tear your gaze away to look at the vast forest where you both have set up camp, trying to distract yourself. his amusement was palpable, something knowing glinting in his gaze as he took another slow inhale of his cigarette, the ember burning hot against the dark.
with a lazy exhale, he let the smoke slip past his lips in a slow, curling stream. you caught it out of the corner of your eye, doing your best not to make it obvious that you were staring again.
“wanna try something?” he murmured, his voice low and teasing.
you quirked a brow. “depends.”
“breathe in,” he murmured, his voice barely above a whisper.
you hesitated for a second, your eyes locking with his. you wanted to say something, to dignify his question with a response, but your brain was so scattered, your thoughts clouded by the warmth of his touch, that you couldn’t seem to think straight. so with no other choice, you nod wordlessly.
then, without warning, he exhaled—warm, slow, the smoke slipping past his lips and into yours, invading your lungs with the intoxicating mix of nicotine and something unmistakably him. your heart stuttered, the heat of his breath chasing away the biting cold you were feeling just minutes prior as you inhaled, letting the sensation settle deep before slowly releasing it into the space between you.
stanley leaned back just slightly, his amber eyes studying you through half-lidded lashes, smirking. “not bad,” he muttered, bringing the cigarette back to his mouth. the ember flared again as he took another drag, watching you over the rim of his fingers. “think you can handle another?”
you swallowed, trying to steady your racing heartbeat. it was a challenge. a tease.
and damn it, you were tempted to say yes.
but before you could respond, stanley moved in again, his hand still beneath your chin, pulling you closer, just enough that your lips brushed against his—soft and fleeting. the taste of smoke clung to him, the heat of his kiss stealing the air from your lungs. the world around you seemed to vanish for a moment, and you knew that you were completely, irrevocably consumed by him. when he finally pulled back, there was no teasing glint in his eyes—only an intense, searching look.
he didn’t say anything. and neither did you.
the night stretched on in a haze, the fire still flickering, the smoke drifting lazily into the air, and you both left in that unspoken tension, uncertain where the evening would go, but knowing that whatever happened next... neither of you were in a hurry to leave.

fuck my stupid baka life (reference for bae[ @lo1itado11 ], aka the one who got me to write this)
cooked this up QUICK, on nothing but a random "hey, i've never seen a stanley shotgunning fic" and a dream.

a cute idea for a fic might be luna’s older sister x xeno ? where he’s throthing for her but she’s just rejecting his advances (too busy taking care of luna like a good big sister)
and then eventually he windles her down and she finally agrees to go out a him ? that would be so cute 😭💗
i can totally see the reader slapping him at some point and everyone’s just going 😨🫢 and xeno just kisses her hand apologizing or smthn AAAAAA SO CUTE
SO FUCKIN CUTE, also sorry this took me a bit to get to babe <3
-------------------
Xeno x Luna's big sister!Reader
-------------------
So, to begin with, you are the only trained medical personnel in the colony, and Luna would be put into the scout role while still taking medical lessons from you.
And being the only on-site medical means you spend a lot of time with either the injured or with Xeno.
Your spare moments are spent training and hovering over your baby sister, much to her dismay, and how she's a 'capable and cool gal.'
Xeno makes sure he keeps all your medical supplies and tools up to date and tries to help you the best he can, but you tend to push him off, and he reacts like a kicked puppy whenever you do ( Stan and Luna find it hilarious)
Luna tries to subtly help Xeno win your attention (because it'll get you to back off her a bit). She tells him things you like and things you do when you work—little stuff.
Xeno's injuries slow down because he doesn't want to upset. You went ham on Luna once, and he was a witness to that.
But even the great doctor can't be perfect, and eventually, he has an almost fatal lab accident, and you blow up on him.
You walked him upside his head when you were patching him up, and he was pouting. When you were done fixing his injuries, he grabbed your hand and kissed the inside of your palm, whispering the words 'thank you' and skulking away back to the lab.
After that incident, you checked up on him more, staying longer to chat with him, occasionally teaching him some first aid, telling him of your craft, and him doing the same for you.
Staying in the lab more with him helped ensure he stayed safe, and he showed you fun little experiments to impress you while keeping your attention on him. Watching him talk about science and share his interests with you reminded you of how you spent time with Luna. It made your heart throb in happiness.
One day, when you brought lunch to the lab for Xeno, you noticed how his face lit up when he saw you; that's when you finally jumped and kissed him.
"Hey, Sis, have you seen the-"
"OH DAMN MY BAD."
Safe to say no more making out in the lab with the door unlocked. Luna teased you for days on end but also told the both of you how happy she was. (When Stanley caught wind of it, he clapped Xeno on the back and told him to 'get some')

Xeno x fem reader
The art of negotiation

Y/n is a member of senku‘s team who is a genius, strategist and also a manipulator.
Story starts where senkus team got a call from Xeno and when Gen got caught into the enemies therotory.
That genius,Xeno, caught her attention so she goes to him.
Warnings: kissing, possessiveness
Y/N walked into the enemy base with purpose, her steps unhurried but confident. Senku would be livid if he knew she was here. But she didn't care—she never followed orders blindly, and this was too good of an opportunity to pass up.
She wasn’t just here for Gen. She was here because Dr. Xeno fascinated her. His voice over the radio had been sharp, calculated, and just as intelligent as Senku’s. But unlike Senku, Xeno’s genius was tempered by something else—ruthlessness.
And that? That intrigued her.
The base was impressive for something built in the Stone World. It wasn’t just survival—it was civilization, structured and precise. Xeno’s mark was everywhere.
Y/N and Xeno sat at a wooden table. Stanley stood beside him, arms crossed, his sharp eyes locked onto her every move. Gen sat opposite them, hands bound but smirking like he was enjoying the show.
"You have guts," Xeno mused, watching her adjust to her seat. "Senku’s people usually have more restraint."
Y/N smirked, tilting her head. "I don’t belong to anyone."
Xeno’s lips curled. "A free agent, then? Interesting."
Stanley exhaled, unimpressed. "Get to the point."
"So impatient," she teased lightly, glancing at him before returning her attention to Xeno. "Fine. I came for Gen. But I also came because you caught my attention."
"Flattering." Xeno leaned forward. "But if you think that’s enough to buy his freedom, you overestimate your charm."
"Oh, I wouldn't dream of relying on charm alone," she replied, eyes gleaming. "I have something better."
Xeno raised an eyebrow. "Do you now?"
Y/N leaned in slightly, her voice dropping to a whisper. "I know how to revive the petrified."
That got his attention.
For the first time, real interest flickered across his face. Even Stanley’s gaze sharpened.
"Go on," Xeno said, his voice dangerously smooth.
"The revival fluid," she continued. "I know how it works. How to make it. The exact formula."
Xeno’s fingers tapped against the table, his mind already racing through possibilities.
"And you’re offering this… in exchange for Gen?"
"Not just for Gen." Y/N smiled, slow and knowing. "I want something else."
Xeno chuckled. "And what is that?"
"A deal." She met his gaze without hesitation. "Senku will never ally with you. He’s too… righteous." She waved a hand dismissively. "But me? I don’t believe in absolute sides. I believe in results."
Xeno studied her for a long moment. He was intrigued, she could tell.
"You're playing a dangerous game," he murmured.
"I like danger," she shot back smoothly.
Stanley snorted softly, shaking his head. "She’s full of it."
"Maybe," Xeno mused.
And just like that, the real game began.
Gen was freed. That much was inevitable.
Y/N had played the game too well, dangling the formula for the revival fluid in front of Xeno like a well-placed lure. And he, the ever-calculating scientist, had bitten.
But in return, she had to stay.
"For safety reasons," Xeno had said smoothly, hands folded over the table. "If you are truly as valuable as you claim, I can't have you slipping away to Senku the moment we turn our backs."
"Safety, huh?" Y/N had smirked, leaning back in her chair. "You sure it’s not because you just enjoy my company?"
Xeno chuckled, dark and amused. "Oh, make no mistake—I do. But I also know better than to let a dangerous mind wander freely."
Stanley hadn’t questioned it, but she had seen the way his eyes lingered on her as Gen left the camp, escorted out without so much as a scratch.
The deal was done. But the game had just begun.
The Night Fell Quiet.
Stanley had left the room, off to handle another mission for Xeno—stalking the enemies. That left only her and the scientist himself, lingering in the dimly lit lab.
Y/N leaned against a wooden desk, arms crossed as she watched Xeno examine a set of notes. He was methodical, precise, fingers gliding over the paper with ease. The candlelight cast sharp shadows across his face, accentuating the quiet intensity in his eyes.
"You’re staring."
Y/N smirked. "Not my fault you’re interesting to look at."
Xeno hummed, setting down his notes. "Flattery gets you nowhere with me."
"Oh, I think it gets me exactly where I want to be," she countered.
Xeno’s lips curled into something dangerous. In a flash, he was in front of her, his hand bracing against the desk beside her hip, effectively caging her in.
"You truly don’t fear me, do you?" he mused, tilting his head.
"Should I?" Y/N challenged, voice smooth, steady.
Xeno chuckled, his other hand reaching up, tracing his fingers along her jawline before trailing down her neck, slow and deliberate.
"You should," he whispered.
Her breath hitched, just slightly. He noticed.
The way his fingers ghosted over her collarbone, the way his body was just close enough to steal her warmth—he was testing her, seeing how far he could push.
Y/N refused to give him the satisfaction of pulling away.
Instead, she leaned in, just enough to close the gap, their breath mingling in the silence of the lab.
"You think you have me figured out, don’t you?" she murmured.
Xeno’s fingers traced lower, brushing over her waist.
"I know I do," he whispered against her lips, before finally closing the distance.
The kiss was slow, measured—like he was savoring it, like he was claiming her as his. His hands roamed, gripping her waist firmly, pulling her flush against him.
She let out a soft hum, fingers tangling in his black coat, pulling him closer, deeper into the moment.
"This is dangerous," she muttered against his lips, breathless.
"You like danger," Xeno reminded her, his voice dripping with amusement.
His lips moved to her neck, pressing open-mouthed kisses along her skin, hands tightening around her hips possessively. Y/N let out a sharp breath, gripping onto him for balance.
Y/N left out a soft moan. Xeno only chuckled, his lips brushing just below her ear. He wispered: "I don’t plan on letting you leave so easily."

Stanley x fem reader
A new world (part 2)
The time when Stanley, Xeno and reader got unpertified and try to survive.
Stanley and reader are in a situationship but during the story it changes
Y/N, while incredibly intelligent herself, had settled into a role where she contributed her medical and biological knowledge. Her advice was often what guided Xeno’s more scientic strategies, especially when it came to utilizing plants or identifying medicinal herbs. They worked well together—two minds, balancing each other out—but there was always something beneath the surface. A tension she wasn’t sure how to read, especially when it came to Stanley.
Stanley and Xeno had known each other since childhood. Their bond was unshakeable, and even though Stanley now worked under Xeno, his loyalty wasn’t out of subjugation. They were partners in the truest sense of the word, each having shaped the other in ways that only they truly understood. Y/N hadn’t seen them interact much before, but she had caught glimpses of their closeness—how Xeno seemed to rely on Stanley’s steady strength, and how Stanley’s unwavering support for Xeno went beyond just friendship.
It made Y/N feel like a bit of an outsider, despite Stanley’s constant presence at her side. She had started getting closer to him, but there was so much left unsaid between them. And she couldn’t shake the feeling that Stanley, who had always been a bit of an enigma to her, might be hiding something from her, or maybe he just hadn’t figured out what they were either.
That afternoon, Xeno had sent Stanley and Y/N on an expedition to a nearby river to collect water and gather some of the resources Xeno had requested. It was a simple task, but Y/N couldn’t ignore the tension in the air, especially as she found herself walking beside Stanley in the silence between them.
As they reached the edge of the river, the sound of rushing water filled the air, a stark contrast to the quiet of the rest of the world. The sunlight filtered through the trees, casting a dappled glow on the path in front of them. Y/N knelt down at the bank to fill the wood containers they’d made, the coolness of the water a welcome relief in the heat.
Stanley, who had been silent up until this point, leaned against a nearby tree, arms crossed over his chest. His eyes lingered on the water for a moment before they shifted to Y/N, a subtle smile tugging at his lips.
“You know, you’re pretty good at this,” he said, his voice casual but warm. "I mean, you’ve got this whole calm, collected thing going on. Don’t know how you do it."
Y/N let out a breath, filling the first container. “I guess... it’s just easier when you’ve been through enough to know that you can handle whatever comes next.” She glanced up, catching his eyes, her heart skipping a beat. “Besides, you’re the one who’s always calm. Always ready to protect the group.”
Stanley smiled a little more, though there was something in his eyes that made Y/N feel like he wasn’t just talking about the group anymore. There was an underlying tension, something she couldn’t fully name, but it felt like it was just waiting to bubble to the surface.
“I’m only as calm as the people around me,” Stanley said with a shrug, his tone lighter now. “I guess you could say I’m... a product of my environment.”
Y/N laughed softly, though it was more nervous than she meant. She felt the need to turn her focus back to the task at hand, her fingers tightening around the edge of the container as she filled it. “I guess I’ve been lucky,” she said quietly, her mind drifting. “Having you around...”
Stanley watched her for a moment, his gaze softening. “Lucky, huh?” He took a few steps closer, his voice lower now, almost teasing. “I think it’s more of a mutual thing. You’ve been a big help to Xeno. Honestly, we wouldn’t be this far without your advice.”
Y/N tilted her head, her brow furrowing slightly. “Well, that’s what I’m here for, right?” She glanced over at him, her eyes searching his face for something she couldn’t quite place. “I mean, you’re not used to relying on me... you and Xeno...”
Stanley’s expression flickered, something almost unreadable in his eyes. He took a step forward, his voice soft but intense. “You’re more than just Xeno’s right hand. Don’t think of yourself low, Y/N.”
The weight of his words settled over her, and Y/N felt her heart rate pick up slightly. There was a lot unsaid between them, a lot of emotion building in the tension that was so palpable she could almost touch it.
A soft breeze ruffled their hair, and for a brief moment, everything felt quieter.
“So,” Stanley said, breaking the silence, his grin returning, “Xeno’s probably waiting for us to get back and get to work, right?”
Y/N couldn’t help but chuckle, even though a part of her was still caught in the moment, her mind buzzing with thoughts. “Yeah, we should probably hurry before he starts analyzing stones and making it into a whole science experiment.”
Stanley laughed, the sound light and easy. “That’s what he does best, though.” His gaze lingered on her for a second longer, the air around them thick with something that neither of them dared to address fully just yet. “But hey, don’t think I haven’t noticed how you’ve been looking out for all of us. You’re doing a hell of a job.”
Y/N’s chest fluttered at the unexpected praise, and she gave him a soft, genuine smile. “Thanks, Stanley. Really.”
They continued working together, gathering what Xeno had requested, but as they headed back toward the group, there was a certain ease between them, a quiet understanding that this—whatever it was—was only the beginning. Stanley, though still the protective soldier he’d always been, had shown her a side of him that was less about strength and more about trust.
And Y/N? She couldn’t help but think that there was something more between them—something waiting to grow.

A new world (part 1)

The time when Stanley, Xeno and reader got unpetified and try to survive.
Stanley and reader are in a situationship but during the story they become a couple.
Anime: dr Stone
~2000 words
The soft, faint hum of reality seemed to wash over her as the world around her shifted. A sudden sensation of warmth, and then cold, filled her body. She blinked, disoriented, her eyes struggling to focus on the faces around her. Her body was trembling, stiff from being stoned for so long.
The first thing she noticed was the overwhelming feeling of vulnerability. She was naked—exposed and vulnerable in a way she hadn't been in ages. Her hands instinctively shot up to cover her chest, her body feeling cold against the air. The stone she had been encased in was crumbled away, and now, standing before her, were two figures.
Xeno stood at her side, his usual focused, almost emotionless expression fixed on her. He didn’t seem to notice her nudity, his eyes more on the task at hand, his thoughts racing ahead. “You’ve been petrified for 3,700 years,” he stated in his usual deadpan manner, almost matter-of-factly, as though he were simply stating a fact about the weather. “A lot has changed. We’ve all been... stoned. The others will be revived shortly, but you should know we have work to do.”
Her eyes flicked to Stanley. He was looking away slightly, his expression unreadable but tense. His eyes didn't linger on her exposed body. Instead, his focus seemed to be on the distant surroundings, not meeting her gaze at all.
Stanley was trying his best not to let his gaze wander down. It wasn’t that he wasn’t aware of her beauty, or how vulnerable she was right now. He’d seen her before, in the stone state, but this? This was different. She was here. Alive. And more than that, she was... exposed. The protectiveness, almost instinctual, rose within him.
"Here," he finally said, his voice softer than before. He reached behind him, where a bundle of leaves had been carefully laid out. He passed them to her. “You’ll need this. The cold’s unbearable, and we don’t have much until we figure out how to make proper clothes. For now, these should keep you warm.”
Y/N didn’t say anything immediately. Her heart pounded in her chest as she carefully covered herself, the leaves feeling awkward against her skin, but it was better than nothing. As she wrapped the makeshift garment around her, she finally allowed herself to look up at Stanley. His back was still turned, but his body was stiff, as if he were deliberately giving her space.
Xeno continued to explain the situation. “We need to get everyone else un-petrified, but first, we need to be prepared. The environment here is unforgiving.” He didn’t pause, his focus entirely on the logistics. “We’ve got limited resources, so the priority is to figure out how to survive.”
Stanley took a step back, now standing beside Xeno, his posture relaxed but with a sharp awareness in his eyes. He glanced once more at Y/N, his expression softening slightly. “We’re not alone in this. We’ll get through it.”
Y/N felt a flicker of warmth at his words, but she couldn’t help the underlying tension building between them. The silence stretched for a moment, and she adjusted the leaf clothing once more, still feeling a bit out of place in this new world.
“Thank you,” she said quietly to Stanley, grateful for the simple gesture. Her voice was hoarse, still raw from the petrification, but the sincerity in her words was clear.
Stanley gave her a quick glance, then nodded. “Don’t mention it. We all have to stick together.” His tone was steady, even, but the way his eyes briefly met hers told her there was more to it than he let on.
Xeno, now realizing that the moment was going to take a bit more time than he’d hoped for, sighed impatiently. “We need to move on. We need to un-petrified the others soon. There’s no time to waste.”
Stanley nodded once again, a silent agreement. “Right. We’ll start getting things organized. You okay to move, Y/N?”
Y/N nodded, her body still adjusting to the shock of being freed. The cold had settled into her bones, but at least now she wasn’t quite so exposed. She stood slowly, feeling the odd weight of her body that hadn’t been used in centuries, but the thought of moving forward with these two—Stanley and Xeno—somehow gave her a bit of comfort.
“I’m okay,” she replied, her voice more stable this time.
Xeno’s mind was already shifting to the next step, as he began talking about the essentials: food, shelter, and the revival process for the others. But Stanley? He was more focused on the immediate: making sure everyone was okay, particularly Y/N.
Though their interactions were brief, there was something unspoken passing between them. Stanley had seen her vulnerable, and somehow, she had seen a side of him that he hadn’t shown many people. It was a raw, honest moment, and even though they hadn’t said much, it left a mark on them both. They weren’t just surviving this new world together—they were beginning to understand each other in a way that would grow deeper as time went on.
As the night fell and the group began settling in, the cold crept back into the air. Stanley didn’t leave Y/N’s side, not because he was asked to, but because, deep down, he knew she needed that stability, just like he did. And in this moment, they were both still lost, but they would find their way through it—together.
