bi pan discourse is so tiring and i absolutely hate getting into it but um the vast majority of micro identities like pan and omni and polysexual were created out of a misunderstanding of bisexuality in general and have created a unique brand of biphobia wherein people believe labeling yourself as bi is inherently transphobic when in fact it is not. bisexuality is by definition attraction to all genders. the cultural misunderstanding of this and subsequent labeling of bisexual people as inherently transphobic comes from the creation of micro identities that stem from ignorance about bisexuality and misinformation spread by those who invented such identities without doing proper research about bisexuality and the lgbt community in general. it hurts bisexual people! there’s no use pretending it doesn’t! have a nice day and if you disagree with this i don’t care

Real. They say "Chipped Catra is more scary than corrupted Catra bc It's not real Catra and she does what she doesn't want to do", but what's the point if she does litterally the same things all the time

I know other blogs have talked about this, but I saw a post about shows that used the"character is forced to fight one of their loved ones because they're mind controlled" and c//a was one of the examples.

The thrope is supposed to be emotional because the person who is mind controlled behaves in a totally different way than usual and attacks someone they'd never hurt. This is obviously not the case for Catra. Chipped Catra and normal Catra are the same. The fact that she was mind controlled in "Save the Cat" didn't change anything.

There's more. For example chipped Catra tried to kill herself by jumping off the throne base, like Catra in season 3 refused to let Adora help her and was sucked into the portal. Both chipped Catra and normal Catra called Adora an idiot and haunted her about how she hurts the people she loves "You're good enough at hurting others without my help" // "You will destroy the ones you love in the process" .

At least chipped Catra didn't always scream.

Hordak is much better representation of abuse survivor than Catra tbh, I wish writers cared a bit more about him

oh don’t mind me, just thinking about the contrast between hordak defying his abuser in order to protect entrapta, and catra using her abuser as an excuse to hurt adora in all ways imaginable.

The fact she was only met with coldness for being a “weirdo” by doing the boop gesture earlier, and then King by pure coincidence does the exact same gesture. Her little gasp and eye shimmer. Someone actually shares her language.

Seeing those screenshots from "Princess Prom", we don't talk enough about how Catra was just being The Actual Worst in that episode.

Exploiting Adora's paranoia, rubbing it in Adora's face that the Horde captured Glimmer and Bow, possibly the first people in Adora's life who showed her unconditional kindness, then Catra pretending to deliberately fall to her death just to get one last jab in before the big reveal.

And don't get me started on "It's never been a game to me." Girl, you've sure been acting like this whole thing was just a big joke at Adora's expense!

Yes! I've made a post weeks ago about how horrible Catra was in that episode! Especially for the fake fall thing, which even Nate thought it was funny.

Dude, how can you think faking your death to scare someone who cares about you is remotely funny? Let me guess, it is funny because it was at Adora's expense (and Scorpia's too ig). If the roles were reversed, it would have been a dramatic moment and everyone should have felt sorry for Catra getting scared like that 😿

Jinx’s Self Awareness

One thing that I love about Jinx, is how self aware she is about her being damaged. How she has stopped being the sweet baby sister Vi used to know her as. How she knows that the reason she and Ekko are now enemies not just because she chose Silco over their friendship, but how she willing killed and tortured countless of people, something he nor Vi wouldn’t believe Powder would EVER do.

“I thought, maybe you could love me like you used to. Even though I am.. different.”

And it’s like she is ashamed of this fact. Deep down she hates that she has become the very person Vi has come to fear and Ekko to despise. And she wants to go back to the “better days” , when before she believed she fucked things up for everyone. But she can’t help being Jinx because this is how she grew up as after all these years. How the person who truly understood her trauma expects her to be. And to be who they loved her as is too painful for her and the guilt would swallow her entirely.
