i think spotify should implement a fade in option where you want to change tracks but you still wanna finish the current song, and before anyone says thats just add to queue no this is different, cause the queue will just wedge that one song or an entire playlist inside the first playlist order, but with my new patented fade in you can skip tracks inside a playlist without it then returning to the original order once thats played through
#this idea is free and they can take it without crediting me#but in exchange it cant be a premium feature#distant honking

Its really helped me to hear from people that they might just read for 15 minutes to relax or use reading as a way to reset themselves, that they might cycle through several books because the mood might call for something specific,
i think the way "how many books did you read this year" became so prevalent in the discussion of books in recent years really hurts readers ability to actually engage with books in a way that feels productive for them specifically. Forcing myself to read a book because i Have to finish it for it to "count" is really detrimental, it makes it sound like im incapable of gaining something from the book before i reach the back cover
