Hiiiii I hate to be so inactive and show up again just for this, things have just been Real Rough lately. I don’t drive For Work but we work at a different site every day, and I have to drive myself for anything within an hour of me, which has been Most of what I’ve been scheduled for the past couple weeks and the gas cost has really worn things thin. I’d be donating plasma to cover it but I’ve been sick + on antibiotics and that took 2 weeks lol

Anyway. The problem is my paychecks are going entirely to bills so I have very little to work with afterwards and this constant 30 bucks a tank is draining that fast. If anyone has a couple bucks to spare I’d appreciate it thank you I love you 🙏

I noticed today that the deadname of a client was clearly visible in their client file because it was their legal name, and flagged it for IT. I specifically flagged it as "Hey, if someone sees this and calls our client the wrong name, we'll lose them as a client." IT emailed me back immediately, and it's now invisible except on their contract with us, which the majority of us don't have direct access to, as opposed to their client file.

The reason I flagged it framing it as a loss is that what matters to most companies is money. If you can flag a bigoted practice as something that will lose customers, clients, or get them a lawsuit, that is significantly more likely to get taken care of quickly than trying to appeal to their better nature. I could have flagged it as "Hey, this is going to make our client really upset if they hear it.", which was my actual motivation for flagging it, but if I had, then it probably would have been taken care of in a few days or even weeks, not hours.

Always hit them with the profit argument for quick and decisive action.

My problem with the dragons-with-bat-wings-versus-dragons-with-bird-wings debate is that it doesn't go far enough. We need to really push the envelope with respect to draconic aerial mobility. Anti-gravity dragons. Dragons with organic VTOL turbines. Dragons that inflate themselves with lifting gas and float like dirigibles, and I say this one in the full awareness that what I'm picturing and what many of you are picturing are very different.
