Okay but like i want to rant about the ending of AoS once more (because cmon when is a better time than today?)
It was just so perfect you know?
Coulson, someone we knew only as ‘sort of an important agent and a fan of captain america’ from the movies and who later became a hero because of his death. But he came a full circle and he has become the hero others will look up to, he has gained a big family where they all love him and look up to him
And May, who was living with such grief for the little girl she had to kill, who slowly but surely opened and then Skye came into her life, someone she didn’t trust but they learned to trust each other and in the end they had this beautiful friendship valuing each other so much. And she went to teach kids! Spreading her knowledge, coming a full circle as well because her reputation started with a kid and the last time we saw her she was doing the opposite, helping kids!
Fitz, who came from scared but briliant engineer who trusted way too easily to a brave and even more briliant person willing to fight for what is right and for the people he loves, gaining a daughter and a wife in the meantime
Simmons, again someone briliant, who was so excited to see everything and explore the world but she got to much tougher and went through such horrible things but still kept her kindness and love for the world.
I think the two of them really deserved their ending, finally being able to let go of a place that made them go through so much but still keeping in touch with their friends
Then we have Mack, whose arc was quite something. He went from a mechanic, to a traitor (sort of) to a loyal agent to an agent who wanted to quit as soon as possible but then he made great friends and so he stayed and then he became the director of the organization he wanted to leave earlier, helping people and doing good.
And Elena, who was so scared after what happened to her with the Terygen but then she learned to live with it and she became comfortable. But then her abilities cost her her arms and she became closed off along with a person she trusted the most leaving her. But in the end she learned to embrace herself, she let the people who care about her help her and she could do good.
And then obviously Daisy. Daisy, who went from a lonely girl living in a van with no friends or family to a girl who was exploring the universe with a big family waiting for her on Earth and a boyfriend and a sister by her side. She had no one and nothing, she didn’t believe herself and she used to be powerless. But she became one of the most powerful being in the universe and learned so much through her journey… I will stand my ground that her character development was one of the best ones i have and will ever see

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D appreciation
just appreciating this amazing 7 season show as a whole. I will do separate seasons at some point...and maybe a part 2 of this
#coulsonlives
(gif source)
What I find so crazy is that this show originated from #coulsonlives which trended all over social media after fans were LIVID with the death of Coulson in the Avengers. We manifested this show, guys!
A big fucking thank you to Maurissa and Jed for actually bringing it to reality using their chaos magic.
Visual Effects (VFX)
For a network TV show, they have amazing VFX, especially after season 1 when they expand their coverage of the comics and storytelling. S4 had crazy VFX as we went into the mystical side as Doctor Strange came out the same year and they moved to the 10pm time slot.
A big fucking thank you to Mark Kolpack and the rest of the team for doing this for 136 episodes
Soundtrack
youtube
(Ghost Rider's theme is so cool and dark)
The score for this show is so fucking good!!! Ugh I can't get enough of it and I am being totally honest here. Soundtrack Nerdist's YouTube channel has the soundtrack for the show.
My favourites: Ghost Rider's theme, A Spy's Goodbye (I always cry when I listen to it), FitzSimmons' wedding music, Deke's cover of 'Don't You Forget About Me' from the Breakfast Club and so many more.
A big fucking thank you to Bear McCreary and the music team for making these scores every week for 7 years.
Stunts
They hold some of the best action sequences on TV. This May vs Agent 33 fight is one of their bests. Ming's stunt double for this one was Samantha Win who played Chambers in Zack Snyder's Army of the Dead on Netflix. They had to learn both sides of the choreography in the same amount of time they had to learn one side normally, so they worked extra hard.
They also have great one-shots such as Skye's in S2 and the one in S4 with Fitz, Coulson, Mack and Yo Yo.
A big fucking thank you to the stunt team for giving us adrenaline rushes
Introducing the first Asian and Latina superheroes into the MCU
Here we have The Cavalry and Slingshot! The first Asian and Latina superheroes in the MCU. As a person from an Asian background, I never grew up with Asian superheroes in these type of movies and shows. In the Avengers, the OG 6 were all white with 5 men and 1 female. When I started AoS, I found a character who I could look up to and who better than Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen).
Then we got Daisy, Joey, Jiaying, Mack, Trip, Kora etc.
A BIG FUCKING THANK YOU TO THE SHOW AN EVERYONE WHO WAS INVOLVED IN THE MAKING. I LUV U ALL

Y'know what, fuck this bullshit. I need to know y'all are actually against it.
Reblog this if you will NOT use or support Post+.
I hope to make @staff see how that is total bullshit. Tumblr will die without writers/creators.

A YouTuber that I follow posted this from her IG… PLEASE READ IF YOU OWN A CAT AND LIVE IN THE UK. This is terrifying… This is real- the youtuber that I follow researched it, and went to the official site. Apparently it’s for certain dates and certain bar codes, so please take this seriously.

Any updates on wally?
I mean you had two in a week you insatiable gremlins but FINE yes okay have some pictures of Wally going boat shopping
I call this one "Draw me like one of your French buoys"
This is the one where he fell asleep and they towed him away and hooked him up to an anchor, but taken before he fell asleep. Seems to be enjoying the sun.
Here he is trying to use a ladder (spoilers this was not successful)
He actually decided this one was too small.
But so far, you're thinking, these are all just charming images of a rascal! Elanor, you cry, you describe this beast as a criminal! A ruffian! A ne'er-do-well nereid! How can he be any of those things?
Well, let me show you, Anon. Let me show you.
Here he is commandeering a fishing vessel, thus STEALING the LIVELIHOODS of those HARD WORKING FISHERS
But British fishers mostly voted Brexit, so maybe you aren't sympathetic. Well, fair enough. But what would you say if I told you that he's back to his old tricks again vis-a-vis BLOCKING EMERGENCY SERVICES
THIS IS AN AMBULANCE BOAT, WALLY
GET DOWN THIS INSTANT
And finally, if his theft of a working ambulance weren't enough, here he is capsizing another boat. JUST LIKE he did in Tenby.
I warned you all. I warned you all he was up to no good. I warned you all this is an obstinate demon youth in need of an ASBO. But no, none of you listened. You fools. You played right into his flippers.

I want to talk about Melinda May since I barely see much about her.
I want to talk about how she’s not a young soldier, but one nearing 50, past what should be her prime. How she’s a tiny Chinese-American woman in a very white male dominated organisation.
I want to talk about how she’s obviously very straightforwardly no-nonsense, but how not once is she “cold”. No she has heart. She is loyal. She is loving. She is giving. just in her own way.
I want to talk about she constantly straddles the line of duty and loyalty to the system and what is innately right, and how no matter what she picks, she’s constantly questioned about it in the show. And yet, not fucking once, does she stop doing what she knows is the right thing. Not once does she let the obvious lack of appreciation for her let her loyalty waver.
I want to talk about her implied past of bloodshed and loss. I want to talk about she’s suffered as much as anyone else in SHIELD and the MCU has. She has her own tragic origin story. And I want to talk about how despite how much it has affected her, not once does she display the manpain we’d see in white dudes with the same history.
I want to talk about how healthily she approaches things. How she’s learned to channel all that negativity, to use it as fuel to keep her going, towards something positive, instead of “wasting it on a tantrum”. How many heroes do we see who blow up stuff to let out their anger? I want to talk about how she can pick up an Asguardian weapon that brings forth all her rage by channeling her worst memories, and yet not once does she let it break her, because she’s learned to tame it years ago. I want to talk about how she offers to teach others that skill.
I want to talk about how despite all of this she’s still not obviously healed fully, but she’s also made her peace with it. How she’s been on the brink of starting to heal for all this time. Because she is the most realest approach to grief of loss years prior, that I’ve seen in any media. It’s not this stupid huge ache that media always portrays it as. It’s a dull ache, a knowledge that something in you is shifted, but you have to keep going with your life, even though you aren’t ready to move on yet or can’t. That even though it happened years ago, there’s still this absence.
I want to talk about how she’s a human soldier in the MCU’s world of supersoldiers and genuises with supersuits, and aliens and heroes, and how she’s carved her own place in there.
I want to talk about in this world, of gods and monsters, despite her humaness, she too is a legend, in the shadows of SHIELD. That her moniker is “The Cavalry”. I want to talk about how important that is because The Cavalry is what you expect, what you hope for, when everything is gone to shit and you need to be saved. That in SHIELD, this tiny no-nonsense woman is what agents probably pray to come for them when things go FUBAR.
Avengers are for when things are lost, when they’re already gone. To paraphrase Tony Stark “we may not save the world, but we sure as hell will avenge it.”
But the Cavalry signifies hope. Right when things are at it’s worst, the Cavalry will come for you, and turn the tide around.
I want to talk about how Melinda May represents the epitome of humanity: strength, courage, loyalty, duty, compassion, and hope.
Steve Rogers may represent the idealist good in all people, of being good in an ever growing cynical world. But you know what? The narrative is constantly on Steve’s side. We are constantly told Steve is right.
But Melinda May represents the sheer strength and beauty of humanity in her character, without the narrative backing her up. She represents humanity’s “keep on going” attitude even when the world and narrative is against her actions. And I want to talk about how fucking important that is, and how important she is.

Nonbinary people can use any label (or lack thereof) that they want to describe their sexuality, even if it is traditionally gendered. There’s no right or wrong way to be enby, which means that we’re all going to have different sexualities and ways of describing them.

“I think it’s vital that teachers are trained about dyslexics, about dyslexia, about spotting it, and about working with dyslexic kids. It’s absolutely vital because the world is changing and imagination is key to everything and there’s going to be a lot of kids whose potential are lost unless we train our teachers to effectively teach them.”
