So I just heard the news about Utami leaving Stardom.

Yeah this post is a lot less optimistic about 'coming back to this blog in full force'.

It's just. I mean come on. I don't even know...

There's so many talented performers at Stardom atm trying their best in spire of terrible management and bad booking, and so I feel bad not wanting to stay and support them until the ship steadies, but it's just such a struggle to watch it right now. It's kinda heartbreaking, in its own tiny little way.

So I don't think I'll be able to come back to Stardom until (unless) I hear good things about the direction of the product.

Having this hyperfixation for so long meant the world to me. I started back with Thekla's debut in 2022. It got me through some really bad times at my last job. It took me all around Japan. It injected me with serotonin when I desperately needed it. But I need to take a break from it, for however long that'll be.

Once again, this blog isn't dead. I'll repost things now and again if they come on my dash, and maybe I'll get through the bank of old clips I recorded ages ago and post those, but I'm not gonna be actively following for a while. Catch me when SLK becomes champ :)

Sorry if this blog has been super quiet as of late. It's the only time the queue has dried up since I made it.

I've kinda struggled watching Stardom as of late, with everything going on, so I'm not looking to jump properly back in until the contract stuff is sorted out.

It's a shame when your main fuel of serotonin turns into something that Does Not Spark Joy, but hopefully after this break I'll be able to come back to it afresh and enjoy it as much as I used to.

Or maybe I'll take more time. Trying to stay up to date during this recent Bad Period was kind of a chore, and I hated the thing I loved becoming that.

So don't worry, this blog isn't dead. There'll be some reposts now and again to tide me over until I come back in full force :)
