Can confirm, as someone who works with the public AND heavy machinery that needs special rules to be followed, the amount of people who will simply ignore clear instructions ‘cause “I didn’t think I had to” is insane. Are you trying to die? You can ask me why if you want. That’s totally allowed. Doing dangerous things I explicitly told you not to do because you decided you knew better than the expert and you thought i was just saying things to say things is not the move.

I feel like neurotypicals ignore most of what’s said because maybe *they* get 80% of their communication through body language, but when you’re ignoring safety instructions, that’s… not good.

remember, the first Pride was a riot, and she was one of the brave souls who endured it to help carve the path which so many of us walk today. she helped found several activist groups regarding LGBT safety and wellbeing. and she was absolutely radiant, too.
