Halloween Series: Goddesses of Death & Magic 💀✨


Louhi was goddess of the underworld and a powerful evil witch queen who ruled over the northern realm known as Pohjola in Finnish mythology. Her powers included shapeshifting, commanding the weather, healing, and giving birth to the most monstrous of creatures. Sometimes she is credited for being the mother of the Nine Diseases (as Loviatar); however, there is debate on whether Louhi and Loviatar are two different goddesses or whether the names are just regional variants.

It wasn’t long after invitations were sent out that flyers started popping up around the palace and village. Some of the rowdier royalty, like Erica Mikhaylova and Tegan Campbell, had taken it upon themselves to plan a party that was more to their taste. The administration did their best to tare down any sign of it they found, but the word spread like wildfire. 

Whatever your vice is, you can find it here. From dance music to karaoke, or perhaps you’d like a midnight swim? Whatever it is you like, now is the time to partake. Konstantin Mikhaylov has made sure there’s more than enough drink for everyone to over imbibe, and the bonfire is large enough to make the party visible to all to find and lasting well into the early hours of the next morning!

Welcome to the second half of the event! Sorry it’s hella late, oops lol It takes place right after the ball! With a little wiggle room to change out of your formal wear. 

The beach has been set up with all types of activities for everyone to enjoy, no matter what their poison is. Karaoke, dancing, swimming, beer pong, and anything else you can think of! It’s a party for everyone to enjoy [as long s their of age] and mingle without presumptions! Attendance isn’t mandatory, but anything that an Eastern European has their fingers in, isn’t something you want to miss. 

We’re all busy adults, so really, post starters for as long as you want. Planned or opens or head cannons or whatever you like. It’s a setting of debauchery for all to enjoy!

Invitations are slipped under every door of the residents in the palace and placed in every mailbox in the village, each one containing information for a grand golden ball the palace has been planning in secret for weeks. Between the avalanche and move around the world, the administration, in conjuncture with their gracious hosts, have thrown a ball, dripping in decadence, to both welcome the royalty and their entourage, and celebrate the end of summer. 

For those lacking the resources of the royalty, the seamstresses of the castle are on hand and happy to donate their time so that all may partake in the formal gala. 

The doors to the royal ballroom open at 7pm sharp, revealing a louche scene fit for Dionysus himself. The walls are clad in golden silk curtains, the buffets tables support an abundance of rich foods. Even the staff move through the room fluidly, dressed in tailored gold suits. A number of bars are set throughout the grand space serving a number of specialty cocktails with edible glitter so that they sparkle. And everywhere you look, light reflects off another tasteful piece of golden décor. The room is an embarrassment of riches; dripping in gold. 

The kitchen wanted to honors it’s guests and their many nationalities. Among the hors d'oeuvres, both sitting on the table and being passed you’ll find:

Gougère with a smoked salmon filling

Ahi Poke served on a Crisp Wonton Skin

King Crab Cakes, topped with Verde Aioli

Wagyu Beef Kalbi Skewers

Phyllo Pastry stuffed with Feta, Mint, Mozzarella, and Egg 

Shami Kebab Balls, topped with a Chili Lime Crema

Farmer’s Cheese Stuffed Pampushki topped with Chive Sour Cream

Decadent chocolate cake covered in gold leaf

Daifuku Mochi

Baklava

Boterkoek

And more!

And not to mention, fully stocked bars serving a number of specialty drinks. Ever wanted to try a Black Currant Martini with edible glitter swirling around it? Perhaps your style is a Peach Bellini with 14karat gold rings sitting in the bottom? And don’t forget that stunning, larger than life, champagne fountain.

Guests of all ages are encouraged to mingle, dance, and partake in all the lavish offerings the castle has provided. Including a breathtaking view of the beach at sunset. The only agenda for tonight is fun! 

But, friends, make sure you keep an eye out for updates. Some people just can’t help themselves...

BOOM! EVENT! Brought to you buy Jack, Stella, Leah, and Me. Everyone loves a good fancy event, and we thought it was about time for one! There’s more to come though, so like I said, keep an eye out. 

There’s no rules here, so post starters whenever you like I suppose, though I would heavily recommend, not posting new starters for this portion of the event past 8/21. Just helps keep it relevant. 

This event is only taking place in the WOR verse, though I personally would love to see more verses get something similar soon and would love to lend a hand in that.

As it says on the graphic itself, formal wear is required. Because of this, villagers and staff without the same resources have been urged to reach out the the seamstress located in the palace. They’re happy to provide gowns and tuxes if needed to ensure that all characters can participate and wear luxurious outfits.
