Spin this wheel first and then this wheel second to generate the title of a YA fantasy novel!
(If the second wheel lands on an option ending with a plus sign, spin it again)

Glad everyone is getting so much joy from early Quaker names! Looking forward to seeing any future pets/children/bands/drag acts named after stuff on this list.

personally? i enjoy being a fan of characters who have done Wrong. i like when a character is not a perfect victim, has hurt people, has transgressed, has done bad things. sometimes its nice to feel the sting yknow? and to recognize that a character is not a flawless perfect victim, but is deserving of understanding and compassion anyway. a lot of people in fandom refuse to let go of moral absolutism and its... rough.

My latest bookbinding project - both the best and the worst I've done, lol.
It's three books in one, the Chill Valley Hunt series by Christine Pullein Thompson (We Hunted Hounds, I Carried the Horn, Goodbye to Hounds).
I had to typeset these myself, which I did by taking a photo of each page of the books (I did ten at a time) airdropping it to my computer, then having a picture window and a Word window open and typing it up. It took a while, but I don't mind typing and it improved my typing speed, if nothing else. Admittedly the close reading involved in doing this also exposed the weaknesses of the writing and the peculiar use of punctuation!
As for the bind, I truly love the cover. I'm so happy with how it worked out - it's a picture of a painting and it's perfect for the stories! I'm printing the covers on some lightweight card and painting them with two very thin coats of a liquid acrylic to add some protection - I don't know how well it will actually wear or how long they'll last, but the pony book binds are really just for me so it should be fine. I'm not making a Gutenberg bible here.
The book construction also worked out very well. The sewing was neat, glueing the endpapers went smoothly, the book open and closes and the pages flip like it's a real book!
The bad though comes with the trimming of the text block, and that is REALLY bad. It's 479 pages, and clearly i do not have the skills to trim that with a knife myself! It's really crooked, embarrassingly so, and the paper edges are really rough in places - I photographed it in a way that doesn't show it because i was too embarrassed. I nearly chucked the text block out and didn't finish it, but I didn't want to waste the paper and thought I should just persevere and see how it ended up. It's readable, but I'm not going to show it off!
I've bought a guillotine now that can supposedly cut large amounts of paper at one time, so hopefully my next projects will not suffer the same problems! I've got all the digital files to reprint this book and covers at some point in the future too, but for now i'll keep my choppy mess as a sign of progress and move on to the next one.

doesn't have to be a definitive or strongly held opinion, just which option seems preferable currently. also sorry for neglecting the people already married lol in that case obviously just pick what you did!
