There's lots of problems with USA public education but also a lot of you were just drawing Naruto characters kissing while your history teacher tried to tell you about the Scramble for Africa

Ooe English localization + additional announcements
As you probably already know, yesterday at AX it was finally announced that Ooe’s getting localized by MangaGamer! The release date is currently unknown, but I’m looking forward to replaying it in English, and I hope many more people will finally be able to play the game. The translator is the same person who also translated Adelta’s previous games Uuultra C and Koshotengai no Hashihime (Hashihime of the Old Book Town), so I think the project is in good hands. The complete edition of the original game was released on April 19th, but since then we already got a couple of announcements about upcoming additional content, so I also wanted to compile a short list of what else has been announced so far.
- Supplementary reader + Q&A: First of all, a supplementary reader was announced, which will have additional information about the game and its characters, as well as a Q&A. I also submitted a few question, so I’m hoping some of these will get answered, or perhaps other people also submitted the same questions! An extra page was recently added to the Adelta website called ‘end content’, and so far four of the questions she already answered on Bluesky were published there for free. You can check out the page here!
- After stories: It was also announced that they are planning to release continuations of the main story, so these will also be published on the website on a later date. It’s really kind that these will be available for free, as this game has 10 different routes, so I imagine it’s a lot of work (though I think it was mentioned that they already finished writing them!). Ariake and Shiodome both have two endings, so I’m curious if the after story takes place after their A or B ends, or perhaps each character will get two short stories.
- Music videos: You’ve probably seen the dying breath music video which was uploaded to the Adelta YouTube channel 4 months ago, but recently on BlueSky it was also mentioned that a music video for Shimbashi’s ending song Redon is in the works! The original post mentions Redon tachi (たち) which indicates plural, so I assume that means that every ending song will have its own music video eventually.
- Gratte collaboration: Starting later this month, you'll be able to purchase Ooe themed drinks and cookies at a number of participating Animate stores in Japan. You can also get coasters with both new and old designs, so I hope everyone will be able to get what they want! More information is available on their official website which can be found here. I think the new illustrations look really good!
#OOE OOE OOE!!!!!!!#I'M SO EXCITED TO FINALLY GET TO PLAY ITTTTT#i hope that it will release next year but ik these things take time#reblog#ooe

Some artwork I did for Sonic Neon Summit!
The Shadow and Amy artwork was used for the Main Stage at the con. Since Johnny Gioeli and Bentley Jones were going to be performing, I decided to draw the canon concert buddies cheering them on. :]
And then the Cream art was used to promote the artist alley applications, but surprisingly, it was also used at the con to direct to the AA. <3
I didn't make it to the con, so if you got any photos of these, I'd love to see them !

I made an OC that's not a fan character ! Shocking...
Some rambling below.
I've never really been one to make completely original OCs. I've made them, sure, but they're usually forgotten by the time I've sketched them haha.
Shuusei, however, has been creeping around in my mind for the past few months (and his love interest even more so tbqh) and I've finally sat down and worked out a design.
I don't know how much I'm going to use Shuusei and he might go through some changes. I think it would be nice to potentially pass him over to someone with better character design sensibilities and have them give him a little more flourish as I'm worried he looks a bit generic, skeletal aspects aside hahaha. I want his design to really pop !
Now let me talk about the overall idea behind him!
The concept of his character's world is that when people die, should they have committed grave sins in life, their soul "breaks" or becomes monstrous and parts of their spirit take on a skeletal appearance. They are not able to pass on like this, so they must do good in the world in order to restore their souls.
The more good they do, the less skeletal their appearance becomes and once their soul looks fully human, they will pass on. You can do many things in order to accomplish this, but it is a painfully slow process. (Due to this, many people give up on trying to redeem themselves and instead try their best to "live" their afterlives as spirits among the living.)
Shuusei was a part of the yakuza in his life, so he's stacked up quite a few sins haha. I think he opted to be a grim reaper because he's fairly used to dealing with dangerous and unruly situations. And honestly, swinging a scythe around probably is a good way to vent.
Shuusei works tirelessly as a grim reaper. Grim reapers here function differently than one may assume, as they have nothing to do with guiding living souls to the grave. Rather, his focus is to take on various monsters that actively attack souls (living or otherwise) and exterminate them. Each monster is a step closer to redeeming his own soul, though, again, it's a very slow process. He's been at this for about five years now. The process will speed up a bit when he is forced to agrees to watched over a certain soul who is a bit of a special case.
I'd be happy to chat about him more if anyone has questions, though he's definitely more in the "WIP" stage so I can't guarantee answers.
I'll finalize the design for his love interest next !
