Ideal post-otj story father-son dynamic between kellan and oko for me is

they do run into each other occasionally, never on purpose

kellan is completely inoculated against oko's bullshit and IMMEDIATELY hears kill bill sirens in his head upon seeing him and does his damnedest to fuck up whatever scheme oko is on

objectively, if it was happening to someone else, oko would think it is both ironic and hilarious for someone to have accidentally created their perfect polar-opposite enemy through their own hubris

subjectively, that would require him admitting that he's ever done anything wrong ever, so he will not do this. even in his heart of hearts

oko will however make snide little comments about their family connection (e.g. 'you must get this from your mothers side') during their various conflicts, which only makes the enmity in kellan's soul burn brighter

unclear if he realizes that and is doing it on purpose, or they are just fated to completely misunderstand each other (while being very convinced they understand each other) for all of eternity

however occasionally oko will be reading the newspaper and have to see an article about some dumb hero shit his failson did. and he will roll his eyes. then read the whole article

Which MTG Plane would you enjoy living in the most and which one would you like to briefly visit as a vacation?

i spent a long time debating about this, working out the pros and cons of several planes i enjoy. Eldraine is my favorite, but i don't really have Main Character energy, so i would probably just be like. a sheep farmer? and that seems like a lot of work.

Thunder Junction reminded me of the stunning natural beauty of the American southwest, but I can't stand being too warm, so that's a no go.

If I lived on Innistrad, my debilitating level of anxiety would actually be justified and make me seem sensible instead of incredibly neurotic, but also Innistrad seems creepy and wet.

Ravnica would be good, because, quite frankly, I should be out in the wildnerness as little as possible. And I'm already Catholic and love being told what to do, so I could fit in my favorite guild (Orzhov). But I'm also a communist, so that would be difficult, and, per the OTJ epilogue, they don't have iced coffee on Ravnica. While I don't personally drink coffee, this makes me concerned about their cold beverage selection.

I was thinking long and hard about Kaldheim (I like to be cold, I already know nålebindng so I could make myself useful, it's based on Norse mythology so there's probably some Maine Coons around and those are my favorite cat breed) when i remembered the answer for which plane I should live on is SO OBVIOUS!!!

as for vacationing? Kamigawa would be pretty cool. or Bloomburrow! i feel like bloomburrow isnt gonna have any kitties in it, which is a shame, because i was always more of a Warrior cats kid than a Redwall kid. But I think it would be fun to be a cute little forest animal for a bit. and then the second it rains even one time i could go home to New Capenna and have like. idk a deep dish pizza. and also im a cat.

so i dont remember if i directly said but. i'm drawing a headshot of kellan in each of the 4 sets both because i wanted to see if i could figure out a nice gestalt of all the ways he's drawn (and all his cute little hairstyles) while still making him look like a teen who is currently being hit with puberty like a truck instead of instantly transforming to a 25 year old model who is unconvincingly playing a teen in a cw show, and because i would have a reference for myself and/or a commission and/or finally switch my icon out to something mtg related

and at this point. to be honest. i will be happy if i finish it before bloomburrow's previews happen. I just would like to get it done before the hype cycle completely moves on. it's not that i'm not motivated. it's just that it's really hard to fit drawing in because it is physically taxing and i need recovery time
