Party Hard

In the middle of a lecture is the worst possible time to interrupt someone’s class. As fate would have it, though, your seminar was cut short when a familiar green-and-blue figure asserted itself in your doorway. Excusing yourself from your students and stepping outside, you look up at your slightly concerned coworker.

“Seteth,” came your voice, causing him to mutter your name in response. “What is it?”

“I heard about last night.” His tone was even, but it seemed laced with worry. “From Manuela’s state, I assumed the worst...and it seems like my assumptions were correct.”

He ghosted his fingers over your cheek, nearly making you wince when he came into contact with the bruising around your eye.

Manuela had dragged you along to a party the night before. A rowdy one, with several students present, and you’d been injured during her flailing and your attempting to get her out. Of course, you explained as much to the priest, earning a small shake of his head and a sigh of relief.

“I worried you’d gotten into a brawl,” he confessed. “But, I suppose an elbow to the eye was equally as pleasant.”

“And not half as fun,” you retorted. “I’ll give credit where it’s due, though, Manuela can hit pretty hard when she’s desperate...”

He gave you a small smile before beginning to chuckle. As he did, the trace of fangs he had became visible.

“Perhaps we should celebrate on our own time, sometime soon?” He raised an eyebrow, as if you would turn him down.

“I’d like that,” you responded, giving him a smile of your own.

He then leaned into the classroom and told your students that the day’s lesson was over, leading several of them to make blind assumptions of his intention. After they had all exited the classroom, he gave you a stern look.

“Now, let’s go get you into bed. With some ice.”

• seteth is only a tsundere because he’s afraid of getting overly attached. he’s been around a long time and to a fault is scared whoever he’s gotten close to will abandon him

• petting him will at first get a stern “What are you doing?”, but if you’re lucky enough, he’ll start leaning into your touch whenever you pet him

• this man. will be. so protective of you. and then he’ll try to play it off as if it’s just “for the good of the monastery” (plot twist: it isn’t. he’s just trying to justify worrying about you)

• his ears are also sensitive. touching them is a surefire way to shut him up.
