yes dmmd posting in the great 2025 (i recently got fixated on it again after my roommate randomly bought it up in a conversation... it's his fault actually)

no one asked but i will supply anyway. my fully-right-and-correct-no-arguments list of my favourite dmmd routes (under the cut).

clear - no one loves this sunshine, jellyfish-loving, umbrella-holding robot freak as much as i do. the love, the love in his route. please- i had to take a break in the middle of his route just to collect myself because my heart was in my foot. i love love that clear was imperfect after being repaired, it humanised him T^T deaf in one ear, blind in one eye, unable to sing the same way he could before, the patches of miscoloured skin, no robot has those features but humans do. im not crying, you are. i could write sonnets about him and his route. blorbo shaped. (i also have discovered that i really love robot characters, im collecting them i guess) (also also i am very biased because i also get major gender envy from clear so... sue my agender ass idc).

koujaku - i am not immune to childhood friends to lovers (this is actually one of my fav troupes of all time and i eat it up for breakfast, lunch and dinner), mutual pining and all the other troupes they've got going on. plus,,, they're kinda wangxian coded and surely you can tell from my profile how obsessed i am with wangxian T^T and ngl, koujaku's route is just the best route, right? i can admit that even though it's second on this list (im biased, okay? clear's route is more poetic imo and im a sap for theatrics)

noiz - yeah his route is the fan fav for a reason, right? i do really like noiz's route but the other two routes just have that little extra that noiz's doesn't imo. like the troupes in noiz's route are ones that i like, sure, but they're not my favourites or anything. and someone has to be third.

ren - i mean it's not real and nothing like that could exist, right? (your dog is also you and now he's in the body of your twin brother???) listen, i don't kink shame and it's definitely not the weirdest thing going on in this game so. woof woof, i guess.

mink - my day is immediately ruined as soon as he appears on my screen. minus points. i skip his route every time. i'll leave him to the mink fans.

virus and trip - i mean does this even count as a "route"? it's just a bad ending... either way, it's a no. the funny thing is, in the common route, i don't actually mind virus and trip (they're kinda just silly guys that yeah sure are hella suspicious but like they're just kinda goofy, right?). so i just pretend that their bad ending doesn't even exist xoxo (denial is a river in egypt...)
