i survived a lesbian homoerotic friendship, and so i wrote a poem about it

my god

i’ll make you my god

i’ll worship you at the pew with my knees bruised

i’ll carry a cross around my neck that only knows the touch of me and of you

i’ll pray to you and you alone

i’ll pray to you at night with my hands clasped together and my lips shut tight

i’ll carve your name into the the steeple steps

i’ll beg at your feet instead if his

i will make you my god

i will forgot the feeling of his name on my lips

you can be my devotion while i recite the hymens

and if i make you my god i can say with my whole chest and heart that god loves me

that god does not look down upon me from his golden throne but rather it at me with hunger in her eyes

i will know that god does not care for who i love because my god is not afraid to die

and when i say god loves me i’m really saying that you love me

you love me for every prayer and every sin

the gates of heaven are you lips on my skin
