i (21F, pirate) am dating probably around 3-5 women and none of them know about each other. the first girlfriend i got was a childhood friend of mine, i hadn’t seen her until recently i think that’s what sparked this whole thought. so AITA?

Thinking of the reunion hug for Drey and Finn today…

Finn Tidestrider being described as short. Drey being described as tall. Thinking of Drey’s ten long years of isolation and the inability to use his arms.

Thinking of how Finn had to reach up to hug Drey. Thinking of Drey being unable to hold him back and being unable to lean too heavily into it because Finn is older, weaker, and more likely to fall. He couldn’t do much but lean down, hook his chin over Finn’s shoulder, and squeeze as tightly as he could.

Thinking of how long he was waiting for that moment and how imperfect it was, how imperfect the rest of their time aboard together was, but he got Finn back so it’s okay.

Chip’s been aware there was an awful lot wrong with him for his entire life. If he were more inclined to analyze himself psychologically, maybe he’d play connect-the-dots with how he clings to the people around him like a leech and how he is useless alone. Maybe there’s a reason for it all. Or maybe, Chip’s just looking for excuses. Who knows.
