Not exactly by choice, but yeah, I’m home usually all day.  I’ve managed to sneak out to the bar a couple of times before.  It’s pretty fun!

Well, this is the first time I’ve been out and about in a while, so that’s probably got something to do with it.  But I try to be as happy as possible!  Who wants to be around people who mope like rain clouds all day?

But look at all of these people who aren’t dead--who haven’t been killed by witches or faeries or anyone else!  They all look okay to me!  I mean, it’s not like... -she stops, deciding that this is neither time nor place for an argument to escalate-  ...It’s okay.  Let’s just go home and have milkshakes there.

I’ve lived a long time, and I didn’t do it by fraternizing with ruffians and thugs. Of course there’s no telling who you’ll meet - do you know who else is out there? There’s an Evil Queen, or are you forgetting? There’s that Black Fairy that killed a man, a king, not that long ago, and word is she’s out of prison. And that’s just two of them. There are a lot of witches in this town, and they’re not all as nice as I am. It’s dangerous out here, Rapunzel.

Well, it’s a really good milkshake.  And if my mother happens to find me, it’ll probably be the last one for a while.  Might as well savor it, right?

Don’t you get it?  That’s part of what’s so amazing about this town!  He used to be a pirate, I’m pretty sure that girl over there used to be a Princess, maybe even a Queen!  There’s no telling who you’ll meet when you walk out of your front door.  Doesn’t that interest you?  

But you could have told me, sweetheart, and I would have gone to the store. We could have had milkshakes in the garden, this place is so…dirty. And I’m fairly certain that man in the corner used to be a pirate, of all things.

We, uh, ran out of ice cream?  I just came to Granny’s to get a milkshake.
