there's the light tilt of her head as brian continues to talk, brown ponytail with a little green hair tie swaying with her motion. every word is weighed carefully in her mind. there's a method, almost calculation, if you could call it that -- a desire to speak her mind, yet give him peace of mind, too. it's a bad habit, admittedly, but not one she's particularly interested in fixing. even as her heavy thoughts seem to completely blindside her to the joke, only catching it as he laughs.

she gives him a smile. maybe she's thinking too much about this.

" right... flowers can be difficult, huh? but their sensitivity makes them precious. " she offers as she leans against the wall. " sorry, maybe that one's a bit cheesy... but really, i'm sure they can handle it. the rain seems to encourage a lot of plant growth, so maybe your flowers will end up growing like the trees do. "

she pauses.

" ... but that's not what's actually weighing on your mind, right? " her question is almost abrupt, hands rising in immediate defense. " i'm sorry for prying, i don't mean to be rude! but... i can tell there's more to it than just the rain. "

brian doesn't mind the moment of silence, silence was his comfort zone, if anything: so, he simply stares ahead, deep plum eyes slowly following the colorful rain running down the glass panes. he almost seems surprised, jolts a little as gaze darts over, when charlie finally speaks up, as if he'd forgotten he'd said anything in the first place. 🌾 though, with her words, comes a subtle smile, blink and you may miss it bloom, he seems pleased with her response. he fiddles with his slee -ves, slowly, pulling at fabric carefully, as if there was a method to it. 🌾 " ...yeah, i agree. " he hums, " it's somethin' different, which i guess is why people think it's so scary. i can't exactly blame 'em, but... " " i think it's nice. a change of pace, if nothin' else--hopefully, it won't upset my flowers, though... they're sensitive little things. " 🌾 he tucks a hand into his pocket, instead, " i guess i relate, though. " he jokes a little, though his tone is still generally deadpan. not being quite obvious, until a small chuckle follows, brian lowering his head. 🌾 " sorry, i'm just thinkin' aloud, now... " 🌾

charlie is quiet for a moment, following the farmer's gaze out towards the window, the soothing sound of the rain's pitter - patter a stark contrast to the unnatural hue of it. her mother had pulled her inside the moment it started out of fear, yet... she can't help but nod along.

" i think so, too. " she speaks softly in her higher voice. she feels the underlying tone to his words, a sense of yearning, of seeking acceptance... it's hard to miss how different the farmer is from everyone else in the valley. " it's kinda beautiful how something so different can create something so wonderful, right? like the trees. we wouldn't have seen those if it wasn't because of this rain. something so unique is refreshing, and... special. "

" you know-- " brian drawls casually, leaning down to peer outside a nearby window, " i think the green rain is pretty cool, actually. " he hums, deep in thought, " i mean, just because something's a little out of the ordinary, doesn't make it bad, necessarily. ...right? " you kinda get the idea this thought isn't just about the rain, though. 🌾

i think in a sdv au, it'd make most sense if charlie was a helping hand at someone's farm as like... maybe either a hired help or the emily family has a farm of their own. maybe his mom owns a farm that he visits when not with her dad? sometimes he brings michael with her since the two of them are incredibly close. maybe i'll do something with the idea of her mom being dead or possibly dying, like he'd inherit the farm from his mom because of it, but ehhh. i think i'll just let her live. she deserves it

.. charlie emily would do wonders in a stardew valley verse tbh. as a farmer or as a younger child in the valley? unsure! but the idea is cute... might put both mikey and charlie in a sdv verse since i. basically did that with the spider-verse verse anyway. probs gonna do basically the same thing too (have them in their late teens-early 20s)

I have a fun theory that Mike was sneaking around in The Week before book about Phone guy's stuff before fnaf 1.

There's a weird amount of gum around the pizzeria that's pointed out a lot, and logbook says Mike's got a chewing gum habit.

It's probably nothing but it is funny to imagine him sneaking around trying to figure things out and accidentally leaving a trail of gum behind.

admittedly that is such a funny idea, michael with his chewing gum habit being so bad he leaves gum everywhere like a fucking maniac

i, however, can't see that being intended?? i mean, you gotta remember it's a children's pizzeria where whole families go, which include teens. if you've ever worked as a janitor in a high school, you'd probably know how often teens just... leave gum in places.

so alas, as funny as Gum Fiend Michael is to me, i also can't really imagine him leaving it everywhere if he's trying to be sneaky y'know?? it is funny though
