Madarame: Six months ago, Yusuke ran away from me. But he left a note behind.

Madarame: It was roughly 50 pages long and outlined all his resentment and hatred towards me.

Madarame: It said I no longer had the right to call him my ward, and proclaimed that he never wanted to see my face again. Among other things.

Kawanabe: 50 pages isn't a note. That's a freaking light novel!

“ you’re gonna step in it –– jesus chris, you stepped in it. ” “ you stepped in it again! ” “ i don’t have food for you! stop trying to eat your own hair! ” “ you know how to sit. sit –– c’mon, sit. sit. ” “ one of your legs is short. ” “ at least you’re gonna stop dripping water everywhere. ” “ why is there a clump ? ” “ she knows she’s gonna get treats if she sits. i don’t know why she’s not sitting. ” “ there’s poop in the garage again. ” “ stop stepping in it! ” “ why do you keep stepping in it ? ” “ where are you trying to run off to ? ” “ i don’t have any treats for you ! ” “ THERE’S NO FOOD ! ” “ maybe she’ll stop falling over now. ” “ can you PLEASE sit ? ” “ trust me, i don’t want to be doing this either. ” “ why are you running ?  why are you running ? ” “ oh no, she just fell over again. ” “ she probably won’t drip as much water now. ” “ i’m   .  .  .   gonna finish this tomorrow. ” “ tomorrow you’re  REALLY  gonna be in trouble.  i’m gonna get the clippers out. ”

Hermit smiles and takes it in his hands. He looks it over, and then pulls Yusuke into a hug. “Thank you, Kitagawa-kun!”

He pulls back, sheepishly.  

“Oh, sorry I should have asked before hugging you!” 

He tensed up the moment Hermit pulled him over. To say Yusuke wasn’t used to hugs or touches being good yet was an understatement. His eyes widened. His skin started to crawl. He couldn’t help but think of the pain that’d such a touch had preceded or accompanied so many times before.

But then he remembered who this was. Hermit hadn’t hurt him before. And the boy at times felt incapable of harming another human.

That didn’t make everything go away, but it did but Yusuke at ease enough not loosen up. He adjusted his hair to give him time to relax his eyes. The crawly feeling would lessen over time. Hopefully. “I-It’s alright, Akechi-kun.”

He then clasped his hands together. “Might I ask you to take a look? I’d prefer to see your reaction to it.”

Little did Akechi know, it was an album of pressed flowers that mean everything from joy to friendship to love. And a few rare colored flowers as well.

Yusuke stepped in, holding what looked like a small book in his hand. He paused before sheepishly offering it to Hermit. “As a birthday gift. And as thanks for that charm you gave me before.”

An art boy knocked on the door to Hermit's room. After a moment, he spoke up. "Akechi? I'd like to give you something." (starvingemperoress)

“mm..?!” He perks up hearing a familiar voice.  “Oh what, yeah its open! Come in!”

Scold them, punish them, make them eat their vegetables, fuss over them, tuck them into bed + anything else that parents do !

If you change the antagonist to a woman, “Tag, You’re It” really fits Hanasuke

That caught him off guard. “You do?” His eyes widened a bit. “You like running this place?” She mentioned it was her business with her father. But was that it? Or-

Yusuke glanced down, hesitating. “Do you like what you do here, too?”

"Haru? Pardon me, but why do you normally spend so much time in your father's cafe?"

“Someone has to keep this place running, right?”

“I-I suppose,” he managed. But he still didn’t quite understand. And Haru was his friend. She wouldn’t get mad, right? So he quietly asked, “You can’t hire someone else to?”

"Haru? Pardon me, but why do you normally spend so much time in your father's cafe?"

Hermit slides Hanasuke a box of chocolates! Tucked into the ribbon is a blue iris

He glanced down at the box. At first, he didn’t know what it was. Then he opened the box. When Yusuke saw the chocolate, he blushed. This was Valentine’s chocolate.

He smiled and did his best to nod. “Th-thank you.”

He smiled and offered a faint head bow. “Thank you. Sensei requested I search for art with my ‘lover’, so I thought I would search with you.” Hermit was the person he was closest to.
