Orion couldn’t see though the door, but he could see enough of the other man to know that he was the one that he was looking for. The small bit he saw held the glint of color that normal human skin didn’t have. A hue of light that most beings couldn’t see.
Orion smiled softly.
“My name is Orion. I’m from beyond the stars, just like you.”
He stood on the balcony, wondering what he should say next.
“I know that you are a hero. You help people, using the powers that you have. I want to do the same. I have some of the same powers that you have. But not all of them. And powers that you do not have.”
He looked down.
“I want to help people. I feel it is my calling.”

Superman.
Rumor was that he was from another planet.
Their powers were similar as well. At least in the respect of the flight, durability, the speed, and the strength. He didn’t have all of the other powers that Superman had though. And at the same time, he had some that Superman didn’t have.
For one, there was the various light spectrums that he could see. For another, he could breathe through his skin.
It was the ability to see other light that alerted him that Superman looked different.
His eyes…when he used his ability…perceived him with a halo of light around him.
Humans didn’t have this halo. Metas tended to have something else surrounding them. He began looking for anyone who might have the halo out of costume. That was what led him to Clark Kent.
It was late one evening when he landed on the balcony of the man’s apartment. He knocked carefully on the window, hoping that the man was home.

Jitters
@barryiism
He was the fastest barista around. In fact, there was something off about how quickly he worked. About the way he never seemed to show any discomfort towards the heat of hot cups.
But he was the newest barista at CCJitters and so far he was the best. The TIPS jar was really filling up with people thankful to get their coffee so quickly. Though some of them also tipped because of how beautiful he was. They wanted to see more of the new guy.
Orion smiled brightly when a face he had yet to see appeared in front of him.
“Welcome to Jitters. What can I get for you this morning.”
He nearly frowned as he looked at the other man. His abilities meant he could see different light spectrums than what humans could see, and there was a different light around this man, almost like lightning.

“You humans always get stuck on the pregnancy thing.”
He scowled at Barry.
“I don’t know if Superman is real. I’m saying that I’m not like him but more like him than ET.”
He scratched the back of his head.
“You’re probably wondering how...they come out. The archive my parents left behind told me that the body created a temporary opening just above the groin. The rest is as with any mammal. And I am classified as a mammal.”
He actually found that he wanted to answer questions.
“Would you like to know more. About a different subject?”

“ SUPERMAN huh? “ He mused, mulling it over in his mind which was whirring with a hundred and one different questions. He nodded as he went through the different skill sets he had. It made sense, but at the same time all he could think of was kryptonite. “ Hold on! Are you telling me superman is actually real!? “ Well it wasn’t something he’d ever really considered before to be honest…
NOW Barry’s mind really was running away with him. He’d end up with brain ache at this rate…
“ REPODUCE as in…. bloody hell. “ He took a step backwards, choosing to lean on one of the tables. Information overload! “ Most of the male kind? So…. could you… you know? Technically… you know? “
HE knew he should be more interested in the next part that was said to him, but honestly Barry’s mind seemed to be stuck on the men being able to have children… Barry didn’t even want to think of how they would give birth….
Ouch!

Orion scowled at the comparison to ET.
“Like Superman, I guess. But I doubt we’re from the same planet. We seem to have slightly different power sets. Though some of them are the same. The strength, flight, speed. But I can breathe through my skin, and see more colors on the light spectrum.”
He’s blushing now.
“And then there is the fact that most of my kind are male and have evolved to…uh…reproduce.”
The blush has only grown even brighter and he covered his face.
He had two fathers.
He didn’t want to talk about this part. He wasn’t sure why he mentioned it.
“My parents left me here because Earth was safer and less polluted than my home planet. Then they left to try and fine another such planet that wasn’t inhabited so that my people could go there. I was three when they left me. I haven’t heard from them since.”

TO say the speedster was shocked would be the understatement of the century! He’d gotten used to the fact there were meta-humans about, heck he was one so he had no choice really. He’d even grown used to the fact he could travel to other timelines, even other versions of Earth…
BUT to actually have confirmation that there was life on other planets… even Barry was shocked. His own scientific mind couldn’t quite comprehend it as true, even though the man was hovering right in front of him. Part of him believed it, but the other part was arguing that it could just be his talent as a meta-human… Yet for whatever reason, Barry didn’t doubt what he said to be true.
“What–?” He mused, a smile gracing his face, “Like ET kind of alien? Or superman kind of alien?”

Conversation
Male-Aimed Pick-up Lines {Sentence Starters}
"Nice shirt. Is it made of boyfriend material?"
"Nice package. Let me unwrap that for you."
"Do these feel real to you?"
"Are you a candle? Because I wanna blow you."
"My body has 206 bones. Want to give me another one?"
"Give me your name so I know what to scream tonight."
"I lost my teddy bear. Can I sleep with you tonight?"
"Are you a rainstorm? Because I'm soaked."
"That suit is very becoming on you. Then again, I would be too!"
"You look like a hard worker. I have an opening you can fill."
"I don't need a spoonful of sugar to swallow you."
"There are no seats, can I sit on your face?"
"Is it wet in here, or is it just me?"
"They bet me that I wouldn't be able to start a conversation with the most handsome guy in the bar."
"If I told you I work for UPS, would you let me handle your package?"
"You're so handsome that you made me forget my pickup line."
"Do I know you? Cause you look just like my next boyfriend."
"Are you a magician? Cause A-bra-ca-DAYUM!"
"Are you going to kiss me or are you going to make me lie to my diary?"
"Are you a Boy Scout? Because you tie my heart in knot."

“You’re the first person I’ve told. I’m not sure why, but I feel like I can trust you with it.”
He’s hovering now, to show that what he said is true. He’s not human. Not even meta-human. He’s from another planet.
“I’m an alien.”

“ Wait… What? You can’t be serious? “

A Hero Born
@hotshotparasaur
He had come to Amber Beach for only one reason.
The monsters.
He was pretty sure that none of them were actually from Earth. He was pretty sure that nothing on Earth actually looked the way that they did. And if they were from somewhere else, then he should work to stop them. After all, he too was from another planet and this was his world now. He had best protect it.
He had the senses, the strength, the ability to fly. Why not do something to help protect the people of Amber Beach.
He was dressed in a silver biker’s jacket and a silver helmet as he fought against a group of the lackies that had been sent down to terrorize a group of citizens. One punch knocked several of them back at least a dozen feet. And he had been holding back.
His fists clenched as mismatched eyes looked on from behind the tinted visor of his helmet.
“I’m only going to say this once. Leave Amber Beach, or I’ll make myself your personal nightmare.”

He took the cup with a roll of his eyes.
“You know, it’s you I work for. So you really shouldn’t be encouraging this.”
Now that it was in his hand, he was incredibly tempted to sip on the drink. But if he did that; then there was the issue with getting drunk incredibly easily.
“I’m Orion.”
Conversation would keep him out of trouble.
Hopefully.
“You’re at a party.” Tony grinned and nudged the male’s shoulder, “You’re supposed to let loose. Actually, that’s rule number one, especially when it comes to my parties.” The brunet chuckled and kept offering a full cup. “At least hold it.”

His eyes were able to see through the darkness, and his lungs were kept free of the dust in the air as he breathed through his skin at the moment to filter it out. His booted feet slowly moved closer to the captain as his eyes looked around for possible escape paths.
“My name is Orion. I suggest that you don’t move. The area above you is very unstable.”
With his increased strength, he grabbed a piece of reinforced steel and pried it into the spot above the captain’s head.
“There, you can move freely now. The roof will not fall in on you. How well are you able to see?”
Standing on Faultlines (Open)
Falling. It was the last thing Steve remembered. There’d been a fight, a brutal one, and he’d just knocked his last opponent unconscious when the flooring he’d been standing on gave way beneath him. It was a long way down to wherever he’d landed, and either debris or distance blocked out most of the light.
Steve groaned, trying to get his bearings. Chunks of concrete dug into his back through the suit, and though he’d had the shield in hand when he fell, he couldn’t seem to grasp it now. It was all he could do to pry himself out of the wreckage that had threatened to bury him, and at first Steve dismissed the sounds he heard as the shifting of metal and cement.
There was a crunch of something, perhaps some of the wreckage under someone’s boot. Squinting in the near darkness turned up nothing, but if he listened very carefully, he could hear the occasional huff of someone’s breathing.
“Hello?” Steve called out as he got to his feet. There was a swell of a relief when his fingers brushed over smooth metal in the course of getting up, though he winced at the noise when he pulled his shield from where it was half buried. “Who’s there?”

He worked at a food truck. It was temporary but it paid the bills. And of course he never expected Captain America to show up for lunch. He bit his lip nervously as the captain bit into the sandwich he had prepared. It was a special concoction he had come up with.
“So, what do you think?”

“You assume that I drink.”
He didn’t. A single drink could get him drunk. He was a light weight. He wasn’t sure if it was because of his alien physiology or if it was just him.

Stars
His mismatched eyes looked up at the sky above. Somewhere out there, his parents were looking for a new planet for his people to inhabit. They had turned away from Earth because it was already inhabited by an intelligent species so close to their own. But truthfully, he didn’t know if they were actually still alive.
He didn’t know if any of his people were still alive.
His eyes remained on the stars as he spoke.
“Do you ever wonder what else might be out there?”
