Lights Out! Celebrated #EarthHour2018 at the @panpacificmnl's The Sunset Lounge and Bar. We're so glad we went here. We really enjoyed the nice ambiance, lovely music, great wine, and delicious food. We were at the Mall of Asia before going to this event. It was so chaotic there because of the pyromusical competition. I realize that I can no longer tolerate big crowds. I now prefer chill spots like this. (at Pan Pacific Manila)

Instead of coconut trees, this beach is lined with talisay trees which provides a nice shade from the tropical sun. The water here is amazing. It is so clear and pristine. You can already see fishes in knee deep waters. Taken at Isla Reta, Island Garden City of Samal on Dec 2016 #IslaReta #staycationph #SamalIsland (at Isla Reta, Talicud Island, IGaCoS)

A HISTORIC CHINESE FEAST AT RIZAL PARK HOTEL Cultures collide in the Rizal Park Hotel for the celebration of Chinese New Year. The former American social club now restored into a luxurious boutique hotel takes the spotlight for Chinese celebrations this month.  The historic Army & Navy Club along Manila Bay had been the site for many important events in Philippine-American history since 1911. Originally designed by Daniel Burnham, the club boasted a distinct colonial-era architecture that made it an iconic landmark in Manila’s historical quarters. After a decade-long quest to carefully restore the 106-year old structure into its old glory, the Army & Navy Club is reborn as the Rizal Park Hotel. Retaining the historic character and iconic motifs of its colonial predecessor, the Rizal Park Hotel stands today as a landmark of cultural heritage in Manila. This Chinese New Year, Rizal Park Hotel offers guests a gastronomic feast with an international buffet at the elegant Cafe Rizal. All Year of the Dog celebrants can avail of lunch or dinner buffet for free on February 16, 2018 if accompanied by four full-paying adults. The hotel also brings in the Year of the Dog in style with signature Chinese fare at the Imperial Court restaurant. With its palatial interiors and authentic dishes prepared by Hong Kong-based chefs, the Imperial Court offers guests a trip back in time at the crossroads of the country’s American and Chinese heritage. Guests can also lounge in the hotel’s historic octagonal lobby and courtyard and book one of its 110 tastefully-designed rooms. The second phase of the hotel - which includes a swimming pool, ballrooms, fitness center, rooftop bar, and more - is scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2018. For more information, visit www.rizalparkhotel.com.ph or call (02) 850-0888. (at Rizal Park Hotel)

Have you heard? The former Army and Navy Club is now fully restored and converted to a hotel. As you can see, they did an impressive job with the restoration. Hopefully, there'll be more projects like this in Manila. #rizalparkhotel #manilastaycation #staycationph #itsmorefuninthephilippines (at Rizal Park Hotel, Manila)

"Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass under the trees on a summer's day, listening to the murmur of the water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is by no means a waste of time." - John Lubbock, The Use of Life This is the view during the day @astleybnb. Please refer to my previous post to see it during the night. Happy Tuesday! Music by @joakimkarudmusic (at Timberland Heights)
