She was pretty and he nodded in understanding. “I’m uh, addicted? I’m an addict,” he said with a chuckle. He pursed his lips and shook his head. “Sorry, not used to hearing myself say that yet,” He shuffled his feet and avoided her eyes.

She hadn’t noticed the young man there. As she exhaled, she cast a glance toward him and put on a friendly smile. “Ah, not so rough. Just needed to take a bit of the edge off.” She gestured toward the cigarette between her fingers. “What about you?”

"Hey, you're one of the famous Gallaghers, aren't you? Lip, isn't it?" Mal asked, giving the boy standing next to her a quick once over. (This is from this muse, I have a Shameless verse for her. Again, I hope this is okay)

Lip watched curiously as the woman lit up a cigarette and took a puff off his own. “Hey. Rough day?” He asked as though he were some shoddy first-rate bartender. He quirked a curious eyebrow at her and smirked.

A cigarette. Her one guilty pleasure. Well, perhaps not her one, but right now, it was near the top. Now and again, Mara indulged, but she tried not to make a habit from it.

The air was breezy, making it a little difficult to light the damn thing, but when it finally sparked and her flame met the tip… that first inhale was heaven.
