Top 8 at AUS BCS for buddyfight stuff:

In the read more there’s the matchups I played and my deck list! (I played electrodeity lost world)

Match ups:

I had a notepad with me which I used to keep track of life so I have all the match ups written down and how they went

So Round 1 was vs Thunder Empire. I won this 2-0. Keep in mind it was a finished Thunder Empire deck but focused on battz overthrow so it was finished but not optimal. Nothing really special happened except in game 2 they were on 1 life so I dimension lifestream them to 10 and then vanity zero blazer them for 10 damage lmao

Round 2 was Folktale. Again I won 2-0 because honestly folktale isn’t that good of a deck. Especially with loyalty being such a common card. Also it’s important to know how to play the match up, my opponent never had their item equipped long enough to have soul in it.

Round 3 was vs MAT.  Mobile Aerial Team is a really volatile deck. They usually either first turn OTK or they lose so going first was very important. I won game 1 bc I went first, game 2 I got OTK’ed and then game 3 I won.

Round 4 was vs MAT again against the guy who actually won the entire tournament. I won this one 2-1, I went first game 1 so I won that, game 2 I got OTK’ed then game 3 I won. I was the only person to beat this guy all day.

Round 5 was the last round before top 8 cut and it was against ANOTHER MAT lmao. Game 1 I won, game 2 I lost but then right as that finished time was called for the round so even though I 99% would have won the last game we had to make it a tie.

I got into top 8 with 2nd seed (3 people were X-0 at the start of the round 5 and I was paired down to someone who had already lost once so even though I didn’t lose it wasn’t enough to be seeded above someone who was X-0 vs another X-0 player)

Top 8 I fought the guy who got 2nd on the day and used Thunder Empire Game 1 I bricked super hard, I went through about 20 - 25 cards in my deck but still couldn’t hit my amaterasu so I had no defense at all Game 2 I won super solidly, I obstructed early and TE can’t really recover from that Game 3 was close but he got lost world early and I couldn’t combat that

That was the only set I lost all day so I ended up at 5th with 1 loss I’m very happy with that and I'll try my best to keep topping!

Here’s my deck list:

The face down card in the lost deck was a vanity husk destroyed I borrowed from a friend for the day

My sideboard was 3 eerie wailings, 2 overkill ibuki, 2 loyalty, 1 kagura bell protection, 2 skill binder

The deck plays pretty much what you expect, sit on amaterasu and gain life and stall for lost world then when you’re on lost world you can draw a bunch and vanity zero blazer very consistently
