Here it is folks:
My definitive ranking of my least favorite bodies of water! These are ranked from least to most scary (1/10 is okay, 10/10 gives me nightmares). I’m sorry this post is long, I have a lot of thoughts and feelings about this.
The Great Blue Hole, Belize

I’ve been here! I have snorkeled over this thing! It is terrifying! The water around the hole is so shallow you can’t even swim over the coral without bumping it, and then there’s a little slope down, and then it just fucking drops off into the abyss! When you’re over the hole the water temperature drops like 10 degrees and it’s midnight blue even when you’re right by the surface. Anyway. The Great Blue Hole is a massive underwater cave, and its roughly 410 feet deep. Overall, it’s a relatively safe area to swim. It’s a popular tourist attraction and recreational divers can even go down and explore some of the caves. People do die at the Blue Hole, but it is generally from a lack of diving experience rather than anything sinister going on down in the depths. My rating for this one is 1/10 because I’ve been here and although it’s kinda freaky it’s really not that bad.
Lake Baikal, Russia

When I want to give myself a scare I look at the depth diagram of this lake. It’s so deep because it’s not a regular lake, it’s a Rift Valley, A massive crack in the earth’s crust where the continental plates are pulling apart. It’s over 5,000 feet deep and contains one-fifth of all freshwater on Earth. Luckily, its not any more deadly than a normal lake. It just happens to be very, very, freakishly deep. My rating for this lake is a 2/10 because I really hate looking at the depth charts but just looking at the lake itself isn’t that scary.
Jacob’s Well, Texas

This “well” is actually the opening to an underwater cave system. It’s roughly 120 feet deep, surrounded by very shallow water. This area is safe to swim in, but diving into the well can be deadly. The cave system below has false exits and narrow passages, resulting in multiple divers getting trapped and dying. My rating is a 3/10, because although I hate seeing that drop into the abyss it’s a pretty safe place to swim as long as you don’t go down into the cave (which I sure as shit won’t).
The Devil’s Kettle, Minnesota

This is an area in the Brule River where half the river just disappears. It literally falls into a hole and is never seen again. Scientists have dropped in dye, ping pong balls, and other things to try and figure out where it goes, and the things they drop in never resurface. Rating is 4/10 because Sometimes I worry I’m going to fall into it.
Flathead Lake, Montana

Everyone has probably seen this picture accompanied by a description about how this lake is actually hundreds of feet deep but just looks shallow because the water is so clear. If that were the case, this would definitely rank higher, but that claim is mostly bull. Look at the shadow of the raft. If it were hundreds of feet deep, the shadow would look like a tiny speck. Flathead lake does get very deep, but the spot the picture was taken in is fairly shallow. You can’t see the bottom in the deep parts. However, having freakishly clear water means you can see exactly where the sandy bottom drops off into blackness, so this still ranks a 5/10.
The Lower Congo River, multiple countries

Most of the Congo is a pretty normal, if large, River. In the lower section of it, however, lurks a disturbing surprise: massive underwater canyons that plunge down to 720 feet. The fish that live down there resemble cave fish, having no color, no eyes, and special sensory organs to find their way in the dark. These canyons are so sheer that they create massive rapids, wild currents and vortexes that can very easily kill you if you fall in. A solid 6/10, would not go there.
Little Crater Lake, Oregon

On first glance this lake doesn’t look too scary. It ranks this high because I really don’t like the sheer drop off and how clear it is (because it shows you exactly how deep it goes). This lake is about 100 feet across and 45 feet deep, and I strongly feel that this is too deep for such a small lake. Also, the water is freezing, and if you fall into the lake your muscles will seize up and you’ll sink and drown. I don’t like that either. 7/10.
Grand Turk 7,000 ft drop off

No. 8/10. I hate it.
Gulf of Corryvreckan, Scotland

Due to a quirk in the sea floor, there is a permanent whirlpool here. This isn’t one of those things that looks scary but actually won’t hurt you, either. It absolutely will suck you down if you get too close. Scientists threw a mannequin with a depth gauge into it and when it was recovered the gauge showed it went down to over 600 feet. If you fall into this whirlpool you will die. 9/10 because this seems like something that should only be in movies.
The Bolton Strid, England

This looks like an adorable little creek in the English countryside but it’s not. Its really not. Statistically speaking, this is the most deadly body of water in the world. It has a 100% mortality rate. There is no recorded case of anyone falling into this river and coming out alive. This is because, a little ways upstream, this isn’t a cute little creek. It’s the River Wharfe, a river approximately 30 feet wide. This river is forced through a tiny crack in the earth, essentially turning it on its side. Now, instead of being 30 feet wide and 6 feet deep, it’s 6 feet wide and 30 feet deep (estimated, because no one actually knows how deep the Strid is). The currents are deadly fast. The banks are extremely undercut and the river has created caves, tunnels and holes for things (like bodies) to get trapped in. The innocent appearance of the Strid makes this place a death trap, because people assume it’s only knee-deep and step in to never be seen again. I hate this river. I have nightmares about it. I will never go to England just because I don’t want to be in the same country as this people-swallowing stream. 10/10, I live in constant fear of this place.
Honorable mention: The Quarry, Pennsylvania
I don’t know if that’s it’s actual name. This lake gets an honorable mention not because it’s particularly deep or dangerous, but it’s where I almost drowned during a scuba diving accident.
Edit: I’ve looked up the name of the quarry, it’s called Crusty’s Quarry and is privately owned and only used for training purposes, not recreational diving.

Although healing powers are common, yours is one of the strongest in the world. The hit squad big pharma sends manages to take out your entire family but you survive. Now the world is about to find out that power wasn't the ability to remove ailments…it's true nature is to simply remove.

Yes we founded this hobby in late victorian europe where we divide animals of the same species from around the globe into races and measure them with calipers and put extreme emphasis on blood purity and conformity but WE SWEAR this has zero links to the eugenics movement that was coincidentally happening at the exact same time and place

Things we already know about the UHC shooter, mostly from his social media:
- He has a bachelor’s and Master’s in computer science from an Ivy League school.
- He has read several books on chronic back pain.
- His profile banner includes a photo of an x-ray for back surgery. (Spinal fusion I believe.)
- Based on messages from his family, he dropped off the map a few months ago and they’ve been worried about him.
- His political beliefs are a bit all over the map; without doing a deep-dive my take is a pretty average centrist tech bro who’s read too much evopsych.
I’m a bit worried that, as the left is so fond of doing, people will turn on him immediately for that last part. Let’s not do that! Can we agree not to do that? Because here’s the important thing:
He’s a victim of the system, just like we all are. The system pushed him past his limits, and he lashed out at it. The details of his political leanings don’t actually matter - what matters is that you don’t have to be a radical leftist to lash out at a health insurance company. That’s shows how bad things are broken, that a guy who seems fairly privileged in most respects, with no strong political motive, could be beaten down and broken to the point of doing this. He has two Ivy League computer science degrees and yet had nothing left to lose.
This is a class war that doesn’t differentiate between the working class, middle class, even upper middle class. We’re all dog food for the 1% to chew up and spit out. Even if he turned out to be hardcore right wing, in this one single issue we’re united with him.
Everyone’s been talking about how this guy has seen insane levels of support across the political spectrum - which means nobody should be shocked that he could have come from any spot on that spectrum. I’m hoping the fact that he doesn’t seem super far left or right politically will make it easier to keep that unity, but the left just looooves our purity tests. Let’s maybe not this time.

introducing myself

hi guys i'm idalia. you can call me that or dalia or dali or something like that :) she/her. i wont specify my age but i am above 18
first off all i would like to say that english is not my first language so i apoligize for any mistakes
i started shifting around 2020 after i found out about it on tiktok. i was a typical hogwarts shifter who laid in the starfish position pretty much every day.
now my main dr is a marauders dr without magic and with a little bit of fame and figure skating. which i might go in dept on later
my s/o is and has been remus lupin since 2021 i think.
my most succesfull attempts have been during lucid dreaming. i have not fully shifted yet. idk maybe ive had either a few minishifts or just very weird dreams. in 2020 i wrote my scripts on wattpad with my own experiences as a beginner and even though its really really cringe, if u would like to see it dm me :)
some things about me?
uuh my favorite color is dark red. my nails have constantly been dark red for about 2 years now. i have been playing hockey for about 11 years i think. i like reading even though im in a slump rn. my favorite book is the secret history. my favorite movie is perks of being a wallflower and dead poets society. i want a cat so bad but im afraid that ill be a bad owner plus i have allergies which i dont really care about but yeah. speaking of allergies i have about 12 of them, including one thats lethal. i always have weird obsessions like its annoying to my friends how obsessed i am with things. right now some of these obsessions are marauders ofc, hamilton. jake and johnnie and tara, omg i love dovid bowie, the smiths, i like candles that smell like cotton or linen.
oh and by the way this is kind of my first time on tumblr and i have no idea how it works. like i had so much trouble trying to figure out how to change the color of the letters on my blog help. but ill figure it out sometime.

Star, I just had an amazing dream. It was where it just clicked in my head for manifesting, and I could do it damn near instantly. All I had to do was close my eyes and concentrate. Of course, it was dramatised considering it was a dream but oh lord, was it wonderful.
Funnily enough, I think it’s because I read Matilda? Her superpowers kind of remind me of manifestation, in a way. But anyways. That felt like an actual breakthrough. First I realised I was dreaming in my dream (I don’t know if I actually did, but my dream self has been recognising that a LOT lately) and then I decided I could manifest whatever I wanted. It was awesome :)
That's wonderful! I think dreams like that are a good indication that your subconscious is accepting what you've been trying to tell it! You are a master manifester as long as you decide to be and now your brain knows it too :)

Demersion
I wake up. I check the time– 6 am, I’m safe– change, and walk outside my tent. I brush my teeth, raising my head to look at the pink, cloud-streaked sky; why was that wrong? I walk along the grass– why can’t I see the blades– and moved to enter the field station– wait, where was the door, and why– oh, I was dreaming, shoot, reach up and up and up through the back of your skull to your body on the ground can you feel it can you press, press, press your eyelids open and–
I wake up, vaguely disoriented. I check the time– 6:30 am, I’m safe– change, and walk outside my tent. I brush my teeth, raising my head to look at the pale blue sky; was that strange? I walk along the grass– don’t look down, don’t look down– and enter the field station, sitting at the table to write in my notebook– when did I get that? I open the pages which aren’t lined, they should be lined, I’m dreaming again, reach up and up and up through the back of your skull to your body on the ground can you feel it can you press, press, press your eyelids open and–
I wake up, calm. I check the time– 8:30, I’m late! I change and jerk outside my tent, don’t look at the sky, don’t look at the ground, and enter the field station to make breakfast. Why are they still cooking? Aren’t I too late? Breakfast starts at 8:00, I know I’m late; I’m sorry. That’s french toast. We’ve never had french toast– I’m dreaming again, what the hell, why does this keep happening, reach up and up and up through the back of your skull to your body on the ground can you feel it can you press, press, press your eyelids open and–
I wake up. I check the time– 7:00, I’m going to be late. I change and jerk outside outside my tent. Why shouldn’t I look at the sky? I don’t have time for this. I enter the field station, 7 minutes late. I apologize, it won’t happen again. I need to cut up tomatoes. Was the knife always red? Alright, I should test if this is a dream. Can I turn the knife purple? The knife is purple. It was always purple. Can I turn it blue? The knife is blue. Wait– the knife was red before? The knife was purple? The knife has always been blue. That’s wrong. This is wrong. This is a dream; this is a dream. Reach up– that didn’t work last time– reach up and up and up through the back of your skull to your body on the ground can you feel it can you press, press, press your eyelids open and–
I wake up. I check the time– 10:00, oh God. The entire camp has left. They left me behind, and the sky is bleeding red-orange-blue, and the blades of grass are curling around each other. I go to the field station. I brush my teeth. I need to be in the field station to brush my teeth; that’s where the sinks are. My notebook’s on the table. Did I leave my notebook in the field station? They left me behind. I find a phone. What’s the number? The number is tapped to the phone. Why is the number tapped to the phone? Why is there a landline phone on the wall? It’s yellow. It’s grey. It’s whatever color I want it to be. I’m dreaming. Tip your head back and look up. Can you feel the ground? Can you hear the bugs chirping? Will you hear the birds singing? An hour in year life can last days in a dream. You will be here forever if you don’t reach up and up and up, press, press, press your eyelids open and–
I wake up. I’m dreaming. The sky is blue, the grass is green. I’m dreaming. I’m never going to wake up. It could be years before my alarm goes off. I’m dreaming. How do I wake up. How have I woken up before? I’m dreaming. Where’s the tent? Where’s the field station? I’m dreaming. Can someone please wake me up? I’m dreaming. Wake up. Wake up. Wake up. There’s– my back is pressing against the ground, my feet brushing up against the plastic of my sleeping bag, my eyes are shut, why can’t I open them? Wake up. Open your eyes and wake
I wake up. Everything is dark. Right, it’s still probably nighttime. I check the time on my phone: 4:23 am, which is about typical for the wake-up from a lucid dream. I push myself upright, getting my hair caught on the zipper of my sleeping bag. I hum to myself just to feel the vibrations in my teeth. I reach out for my notebook before changing my mind and finding a real book. I’m not going back to sleep tonight.

He is such a great friend and we share so many things in common. He also matches the list i made btw. but he has a gf 💀.
So I think it would be pretty weird if we were living together, so I decided i'm going to manifest another bf (me and my bf from the previous post broke up a while ago btw 😭).
So yeahh. I think I'm going to focus on the void after I move out, so right now I'm just focused on manifesting my bf.
I've been manifesting him for a month or two now.
I am manifesting a yandere boyfriend and I made a youtube channel, so if anyone else is manifesting a yandere then you can follow me if you want 😄💗💗💗
I haven't posted any videos yet, but I will be posting videos soon ✨
and if you were waiting for the post about how I manifested my bf (or ex 💀💀💀) then i'll post it there, so look forward to itt 💗💗💗

I've seen some critters on here say "physical nonhuman" or "biologically nonhuman", and I haven't seen those terms before. Can anyone explain em? Are they new terms or have I just not seen them? Lol
