On being a mother:
I admit that I adopt anyone that needs one. Yet now that I am in a serious friend-thruple with my roomies S & C I thought it time for us to adopt!
We desperately wanted an Iguana yet the laws in our state prevent us from owning one - boo-hoo!
And then one day the face of a tiny male orangutan sprung up in an ad on FB and whispered: MAMA! He has C's hair color, S's long arms and eyes, and, okay, so he has my belly is that so wrong?
$11 a month later S, C, and Mama are the proud parents of Harapi which means Hope in Indonesian. You can follow our son's journey here:
