vince: was admittedly skeptical at first about the two schools, the two districts being merged. but what he quickly realized was that two student bodies worth of women provided quite the mass of eye candy. and this blue eyed beauty, clearly from the other side managed to catch his attention. something about her seemed so innocent and pure that vince just couldn't wait for the opportunity to taint it. even if virgins always wanted to kiss all night. so he made his way over to her place, erect in the driver's seat as he rode through streets of well lit suburban neighborhoods. something about this side of town always made him uneasy, like there was some cop posted in the shadows waiting to pull him over and do some damage. vince arrived at her house not long after, sliding out of his car and making his way to her front door in easy strides. he knocked loudly, and couldn't help but release a low chuckle, as he leaned against her door post and glanced on at the nearly identical houses that surrounded hers, at what the neighbors might've thought, some black guy showing up at her house in a beat up car at this late hour. secretly, he hoped they were watching.

Stephanie: made sure to clean up her room and change her sheets before Vince came over. She left the front porch light on as he had asked but nervous butterflies filled her stomach as she looked at herself in her floor length mirror. She finished touching up her make up before she smoothed her hands over the short jean skirt and crop top she had put on before heading downstairs just as there was a loud knock on the door. She felt rather self conscious in her outfit, one her father would have shamed her over and her mother would have had a heart attack seeing her daughter in, but some part of her did feel sexy and confident after her texts with Tori and Vince. She needed to branch out and maybe she was going about it wrong by sleeping with a guy she barely knew the name of who had just gotten out of jail but right now Stephanie wanted to do as she pleased and not be controlled. Which just happened to be taking up Vince’s offer. Stephanie swung the door open and pinned her lower lip between her teeth as she looked Vince over, he wasn’t bad looking at all. “You going to come in or you trying to put a show on for the whole neighborhood?” She tried to tease but it felt awkward so instead she moved aside so the boy, no, man, could come in. “So, uh, should we just get to it or do you want something to drink?”

vince: i can swing by your place tonight?

Steph: Well I can be full of surprises when I want to be.

Steph: Yep, my parents are off a church couples retreat for the entire week.

Steph: If you’re implying what I think you are I am flatter but I shouldn’t.

Steph: You know what, if you’re still offering then I’d like to see what else you can do. ;)

Drew shook his head, he couldn't believe this was happening. "He needs to stay in jail then. I'm not going to try to get someone out that deserves to be there." He said coldly. Everything in Drew's life feels like it's getting turned upside down. He couldn't imagine how she felt. Looking back at her he bit his lip. "Well that isn't going to happen now. I won't tell anyone about this, you have my word."

Stephanie let her head fall, she knew Drew was right but it was still hard hearing the truth about Luke. She still wished things were different and that she and Luke could live a happy and healthy life together. “He...He didn’t mean to do any of it. It’s not his fault, it’s my fault.” Stephanie walked over and wrapped her arms around Drew to pull him into a hug as she laid her head on his chest. “Thank you, really, thank you.”

tori: different how? you're making it way more complicated than it needs to be, steph. i mean, all you do pick a cutie, spend time getting to know them and from there it just happens kinda naturally.

Steph: Any cuties you recommend? I have one in mind but I'm scared to pursue it.

Stephanie: still was struggling to be on her own now that Luke was gone for the foreseeable future. She had been dating Luke for all of high school so she had spent most of her critical developmental years with the boy which caused her to feel like being his girlfriend was one of the main parts of who she was as a person. But Luke was gone now and Stephanie knew she needed to move on and branch out. Not only personally and romantically but she also needed to relearn how to make friends. So when Jonah mentioned needing help writing some music and asked if she wanted to help she jumped at the opportunity. Stephanie climbed out of her car and adjusted her messenger bag’s strap as she walked up the pathway to Jonah’s house. She knocked lightly on the door and hoped that the boy had heard her knock as she stood with nervous butterflies in her stomach.

Steph: So why hadn’t I seen you around earlier in the school year? Did you just transfer here?

tori: well something tells me he won't be out for a long time...

tori: and don't say that. you just have to show them who you are outside of you and luke's crazy relationship. which from what i remember, is a pretty smart girl.

Steph: You don’t think Luke’s lawyer is gonna be able to him out of this?

Steph: Thanks for saying that Tori. I mean I am pretty smart, maybe not when it came to Luke but in other ways. I just don’t want to feel like I’m cheating on him. Or people to think I’m easy because Luke and I had sex.

Steph: My parents still don’t know about the miscarriage and I don’t want it getting back to them that I broke my vow.

tori: you wanna spend the rest of your life with a guy that beats you and caused you to miscarry?

tori: there's like no getting through to you is there..

Steph: No...

Steph: I’m gonna try to branch out but I have to wait for Luke to get out of jail since I can’t exactly go break up with him.

Steph: Not that anyone will want me now that they know the truth.

tori: let me tell you something, girl. we're seventeen. we're young, we're hot, the world is at our fingertips. it's stupid to let a guy control everything you do. especially at this age.

tori: and if a man killed my child. i would never, ever talk to him. EVER again. not only that, i'd make sure he payed.

tori: it's ok, i already knew.

Steph: Of course it’s weird when I’m being logical but he gets in my head and makes me see things how he wants me to see them.

Steph: Idk, I wanted to marry Luke when we turned 18. I wanna spend my entire life with him.

Steph: He didn’t know. I didn’t tell him I was...you know...because I didn’t know if he’d try to make me get an abortion. I’m sure he wouldn’t have done it if he had known.

Steph: Then why you stay friends with him?

True, part of me knows it’s Luke and not me that causes it to happen. Which scares me because it means he could do it to someone else. At the same time I also want to believe he can change.
