“Oh Ive talked with the girls and I explained to them how hurt it made Hunter feel that they didnt’ want to spend time with him. I gave them a good talking to and they’re gonna start coming over to spend more time with him.” 

“If I’d paid attention to his needs and such sooner I would have let him go a while ago so he could be happy. Didn’t realize how unhappy he was. I just wanted someone to love me and look at me the way he looked at Joanie.” Stephanie admitted. “I’ll try to be nicer and more understanding.”

"He wants nothing to do with me right now. I just give him space. I wasn't always the easiest person to get along with. Don't get me wrong we had good times but not nearly enough. He lost interest in me. And my father really drive the wedge between us. I still care about him but we only associate when it comes to our girls." Stephanie admitted. "I'm just glad someone makes him happy. Joanie made him happy too and I was rmtitalky jealous. Stole him away. It was wrong if me but I am dealing with those consequences now. Just keep Paul happy. He's a good guy."

It made Stephanie angry that her ex-husband was more attracted to Roman but at the end of the day there was no denying that he was handsome. "Roman this is the reality era. Everything is fair game and nothing is off limits. Whatever needs to be done for the angle on tv is what gets done. If you can't handle that then this is clearly not the business environment for you. And tell Hunter it's his weekend with the girls. Since he only responds to you." She rolled her eyes.

“Yes we should have been more straight forward about that. We just want to make sure you’re 100% healthy for this title change over between you and your Shield counterparts. Not to mention the crowd reaction for you is still a bit of an issue.” Stephanie looked sympathetic towards Roman. “In the meantime if you need anything just give me a call. You know how to reach me. Oh and one more thing, don’t be so stubborn when the doctors want to check you out. I do worry that that pride of yours will get you seriously hurt one day. I think that scare 28th the hernia should be a lesson to you.”

Hunter shut off the tv in the car. Tooth of their dismay things had not gone according t planned. Stephanie made a quick phone call to the arena.

"I've just received word that on NXT this week. Lizzy will go one on one with Nia Jax in a no DQ match." Michael Cole announced. Stephanie sat back crossing her legs and watching the show and disbelief on everyone's face. "Even our own daughter is not immune to the McMahon Revenge."

Lizzy was just about to go out when she was stopped by Regal and he told her what her parents had said. That made her even more angry. She didnt need this. She had a match to go win. All she said to Regal was.“Game on.” she said as her music played and she headed out into the ring for her match. Towards the end of her match, Alicia went for a move but Lizzy ducked under and hit the superstar with a superkick and a pedigree to make a statement. Lizzy picked up the win and then headed backstage. She then went to find her parents and said to them. “I get that you want me to do everything you say because you made a mark in my career. I get it. I have to do this on my own. I am not gonna do what Charlotte did, but dammit I gotta be able to build my own legacy.”

"You know what Paul if she wants to do things on her own then we'll let her. She will see how much of an influence we are in her career. We're pulling back completely. Im a McMahon and we can play this game" Stephanie was in a sour mood to begin with and the shenanigans now did not help.

The two were on the rotation leaving the arena as they talked to William Regal. "Please inform Lizzy that if she does not beat Alicia tonight then she will be putting her title on the line again tomorrow night. oh it'll be a triple threat again Nia Jax and Alicia Foxx. We're leaving for the night. No child of ours will disrespect us that way and tell us she doesn't need our help."

Lizzy had enough. She was building momentum towards becoming champion and everytime she looked around, one or both of her parents would somehow get involved in her matches. Now was not the time for them to be doing this to her. Not ever. Lizzy was stirring backstage just waiting for this match with Alicia Fox to buils even more momentum towards TakeOver. It was so much riding on this match but she knew something crazy would happen. As time came closer, Lizzy made her way to the entrance just waiting…and waiting…
