It looks like the Cherry Steps websites no longer exist...RIP Cherry Step?

Site Updates

Tumblr for the site has not been updated (in over a year). Unfortunately we have not been able to keep up with where development was going, and was no longer receiving requests to host files.

 We will *try* to update here but cannot guarantee we will remember to. ;-)

I am just finding out about dance software /hardware and need lots of basic tech help. I have a Mac air ,an iPhone 6 and a regular 32inch 1080 hdtv. No gaming console. I want to be able to do something like dance dance revolution that tracks my steps. What would you recommend? I do not want to pay for music and don't necessarily want internet competition. Can I use step mania?

StepMania requires a desktop, though there are ports available or mobile devices. I would head over to www.stepmania.com for more information!

The directory is what started this website - a place that I could hold all the links related to StepMania and it then grew into a shared collection for others that shared my passion.

Reviving links

It’s been nearly a year (minus a couple months) since the last post. I renewed the domain as I just couldn’t let it go! The simfiles I previously hosted I still all have online and will be adding the link back in to the main nav. I���m hoping to give the site a refresh over just to keep providing downloads as always.

SMD Retiring Downloads

SMD has closed down simfile hosting. We will continue to keep a list of other Stepmania related sites available, some of which contain sites that offer many more downloads, including ones that SMD did. We thank everyone for all the awesome years and have been so happy to have helped many early step creators with ad-free hosting in the past. If you have any sites that aren't listed on the directory that you'd like added, please use the "ask me" function to let me know!

A few of the ODMix files didn't upload correctly so they are being fixed right now. They are large files (1+ GB) so hang tight!
