Few rest days with my best fur pal and travel companion Darcie. Much needed as we just arrived to the city of Perito Moreno the day before yesterday, 700 miles of our trail completed. It鈥檚 been an amazing journey but can hands-down say the best part has been being greeted by the kindest and generous of people along the way. Feeling especially blessed this holiday season. Me siento especialmente bendecida esta Navidad.#patagone #travelswithdarcie (at Perito Moreno)

Working on the Enstancia Numancia馃悜馃悜馃悜 A great excuse to give the horses and Darcie a good rest. The owners and family have been so nice taking me and the animals in, feeding me amazing food and giving us a lovely place to rest. Darcie even has her own private dog house! This morning we started out at 5am to move sheep and check on the babies. They鈥檝e even lent me a good work horse so that Sundance and Bandido can do nothing more than eat and sleep馃挍Trabajando en la estancia Numancia. Una buena excusa para descansar. Hoy sal铆mos con me caballo que prestarme para trabajar a las 5 por la ma帽ana a buscar las ovejas y sus beb茅s. Synchronized rolling. My favorite part of this journey hasn鈥檛 been riding, it鈥檚 the time in the evening when after I unpack the horses, set up the tent, feed the dog and turn the horses out to pasture. It鈥檚 the time that everything finally slows and I can just sit and enjoy time with the animals. 5 weeks of the journey has brought us all together in such a way I could have never imagined. Knowing their rhythms and routines and the incredible feeling I get when I turn my horses out to a huge pasture, but they always prefer to stay close to me and Darcie. Although I鈥檝e spent my life with horses, I鈥檝e never experienced living with them for months on end and the bonds it creates. 鉂わ笍馃惔馃惔馃惥#patagone (at Los Alerces National Park)
