I draw her as seen on the polaroids from the movie production, so as a fall girly but her hair is pulled back into a bump. I also really like the look of her in a ponytail, she looks cute!

Popular last names are sandy whitman or mcgill. I like the sound of jones and jackson but you could also use hatheway, like the actress that portrayed her!

Do we think Sandy was a bouffant girly, a flips girly or a fall girly? In the movie she is technically a fall girly (long with a slight curl that falls) but I’m divided

I need to vent a moment. TW transphobia

In case some of y'all don't know, I'm a Scout's guide. That's literally such a big part of who I am as a person. I am also trans, and last year when I began HRT i had a chat with my kids to let them know that I was going to go through changes and that was normal.

A few weeks ago we were doing an activity and one of the kids asked me "is it true you used to be a girl?" and I don't like lying to kids and a few of them already knew, so I told them the truth and I explained it and answered some questions.

I got told today that a parent heard their kid talk about me being trans and took offense in it and thought that I was inappropriate. Luckily, I don't know who it was and I haven't talked with that person either, but their kid probably won't come to summer camp and probably will be taken out, too.

I don't care what people think of me. I've always been proud of the person I am and I'm happy being me. What irks me though is that the parent, whoever they are, spent the entire year getting to know me and trusting me with their kid, but the second they learn that a few years ago I went by a different name and that I had long hair they take issue in it.

I have a whole team of people backing me up and supporting me but it saddens me still that some people might think less of me because I'm trans, and my immediate reaction to that is wanting to hide it. But I want to be representation for the kids who need it and might feel alone.

I feel so many things, mostly dissapointment, betrayal and anger.

What does this drawing mean? Well I've been comparing The Outsiders to Greek mythology and I believe Cherry is most alike with Antigone, who got punished by the king (her brother) for giving his fallen enemy a burial (their brother). Cherry is the same. Whether she mourns Bob or Johnny, she'll be seen as a traitor by both sides. She lost so much because of a war she didn't want. The scale is for justice and to represent how both sides are the same and the scale itself is a switchblade. She's also doing the Jeezy hand
