Listening, Undyne frowned in thought. Something they couldn’t remember? He really was talking to the wrong monster. Undyne needed Alphys here to decipher these things for her. It sounded so strange to her. She believed him, he had no reason to lie, but it was just so hard to grasp. Like something was blocking her thoughts to keep her from understanding. Her friends got hurt? How could she forget something like that? “I believe you,” she settled on, though the words tasted odd on her tongue. She didn’t like this. Didn’t like thinking she was missing something so important. “Then it’s a good thing nothing HAS happened to them then, isn’t it?” She challenged, leaving little room for doubt. “But, Sans, if something were to hurt them..”

“I’D TEAR THIS DAMN EARTH APART TO GET BACK THERE.”

Looking at the look on Undyne’s face, Sans thought he was over, done for. He had only confused her more and made things worse. He knew that he should have never brought any of it up - knowing about the timelines was something he would have to deal with, and it wasn’t right to drag Undyne into it. These thoughts consuming him though, his eyes went wide as she spoke. He wasn’t expecting her to believe him. Although he wasn’t totally sure that she actually did, she said she did and that was enough for him. “Just...trust me. This will make sense at some point just...not now.” He spoke firmly but not unkindly. Laughing quietly for a moment, Sans nodded. “Yeah, I know. Which is why I’m glad that even if nobody else is here...I’m glad you are. I don’t know anyone else who can suplex a boulder like you can. Which will come in handy if we need to get back down there.”

Where I am from, we build our homes from what we can find on the island, that’s all I need.” Moana sighed, running her hand through her dark curls. “The ocean is my friend. It wrapped around me and carried me through the ocean, then spit me out not far from here. But it won’t take me back home, no matter how often I try to talk to it. And yeah, comment on how crazy I am because I talk to the ocean. So no, I don’t have any boat otherwise I’d have no problem right now.” Her brown eyes reflecting her worry and confusion, she looked up at the male. “What do you mean, no way out? There always is.” She looked at her sad excuse of a boat. “I guess help would be nice. Even if I won’t be able to get out.”

“’Cause castles are fun.” Sans replied simply. “Where I’m from, the castle is a pretty big deal. Guess it just depends where you come from, huh?” He titled his head to the side for a moment. “Never heard of the ocean being anyone’s friend but hey, if you wanna be friend with the ocean, knock yourself out, kid. I don’t think you’re crazy. I think the ocean’s crazy for picking you as the person they want to talk to.” He responded with a cheeky smile as if to prove that he was joking. “All I’m saying is if even the ocean won’t take you back, you’re probably supposed to be here. And you’re not supposed to leave. Which is exactly what I was saying earlier.” Sans raised his eyebrows, emphasizing his point. “I don’t see why you’d bother working on the boat if you can’t work out, but sure. Whattaya want me to do?”

“Wow,” Sans laughed for a moment, shaking his head. “You don’t look the part, but I’m not really one to judge. Good for you.”

Mount Ebott? Nope. Tinkerbell shook her head. She had only heard of the landmarks in Neverland, like the SS Silver Hook and Skull Rock. The boy told her to not feel bad about it, so she didn’t, listening as he explained that he came from the Underground, where monsters resided. She arched a brow and looked over at him again, eyes asking, Monsters? What kind of monsters? But really, if he explained anything about his home, she’d be interested.

Watching her reactions as he continued to walk, Sans figured that she wanted to know about monsters - it was a typical reaction he got. “I mean, almost everyone down there was a different kind of monster. I, for example, was a skeleton. So was my brother. But there were tons others. My friend Undyne was a werid...fishy thing. There were dogs. The king and queen were goats - at least we think so. Not to mention all of the ones that just wandered about...but they’re a lot more difficult to explain. The monsters never did anything bad - quite the opposite, actually. None of us ever wanted to hurt anyone, but people just hear the word monster and that’s what they assume. Guess that’s just humans for ya.”

“Ah well… I do get into trouble quite a lot” He chuckled a little. Niffler shrugged a little. “Usually anything shiny. I like jewellery and shiny coins a lot.” He grinned before looking down at himself, a little confused. “You think so?”

“As long as nobody gets hurt and you can get yourself outta trouble...there’s nothin’ too bad about that.” Sans replied simply with a small shrug. “Jewelry and shiny coins are good. Pretty goo way to make a few bucks, I can imagine.” Sans smirked. “Yeah. I mean, I never heard the name before, but...you looked like a Niffler.”

While it still irritates her, there’s point in making comment when he so obviously doesn’t care. “ It’s a very complicated situation. In my true form, my wings are visible. When I take on a human body, they’re not. But when I ended up here, they are. Well, I am not human, so I suppose that it would make sense I look less human. “ A small shrug of the angel’s shoulders then, lunging forward so she can start walking a few steps behind him. “ Are you going to at least tell me where we’re going? “

“What are you if you’re not human?” Sans questioned casually, not thinking much of it. “I’m not fully human either - never was ‘til I got up here. So even though I don’t have wings, I kinda get what you’re sayin’,” He explained, with a small shrug. “We’re gonna try to find some place that can help you with those,” he turned his head to nod towards her wings. “The last thing you need is for people to be questioning what those are or why you have them.”

Sans was a bit taken aback by the kindness of the other. Usually when a stranger ran into someone they’d at least be a little rude, but this kid was...taking the fall? Sans of course, didn’t mind. “Let’s just say we both coulda been a little more careful, huh?” He let an easy chuckle slip out of his lips. “What were you lookin’ at that had you so distracted?” Sans nodded his head to the phone in the other’s hand.

ugggGGGGH sorry i haven’t been around in a few days!! life has gotten beyond crazy and things have been super hectic but i’m here for a lil while to do replies and things and hopefully will be able to be on and off for most of the day!!
