I live on a farm, and when we moved out here, there was already a “feral” cat who lived on the property (I put “feral” in quotes because she’s friendly). We let her do what she wants but put her inside the barn at night so the owls don’t get her. The problem is, she’s fast and good at hiding, so sometimes you’ll see her for a moment and then she practically disappears (occasionally meowing from an unknown location for ultimate creep factor), and that’s how you get me traipsing around the farm in the dark grumbling to myself, “Why the fuck did I name the cat Mistoffelees?”

Since y’all are STILL arguing about the name of the cat Frank Thompson plays in the 1998 film, I’m renaming him completely.

His name is now [Pterodactyl Screech Over the Sound of a Glass Coffee Table Shattering and the Wailing of the Souls of the Damned].
