made alien mittens : pattern is for left hand and not 100% accurate. had to slightly alter for right hand and has resulted in little fingers being bigger so currently solving that

started trying to make a hood for one of the babies, inspired by cosmaudi’s cosmic hood

however i wanted to try and understand tunisian crochet a little.

i am using two colours, making the initial row with one colour then swapping colour for the return pass. then keep that colour for the next row and swap for the next return pass.

i have this so far and it is ugly and i hate it

i think i made the initial top of the head portion too long, but we move.

i must persist.

because of the angle of the edges, i am having to use 2 hooks - 5.5 and 6mm

also because of my skill level, the edge where i swap colours is a mess so that hopefully will be easy to hide

want to make this.

got 100% cotton yarn in brown from the range.

going to follow edsfart’s trellis pattern just with some alterations to make it all treble crochet with one chain in between, and make it long sleeve.

ran out of yarn but currently finished both legs and just attached them.

not sure where i will find more yarn but i have my fingers crossed 🤞🏻

making a baby dungaree inspired by these, thinking leg length of the strawberry one and design of the teddy one. using dusty pink and going to do a bunny rabbit granny square in place of bear.
