#i’m coming on here after disappearing to say#that this is an example of something i find very compelling about padmes character#which absolutely was not intentional of GL he is not this clever but#it’s that padme’s sense of duty and sense of desire are both SO incoherent#like in freudian terms this girl is 100% superego and so her id comes out in all these weird ways#and i think the mixed signals outfit and also the incoherence of a lot of her values vs behaviours are clear examples of this#i tell the guy i want that i can’t want him. i wear the horniest outfit i own to do it.#i think that working in underhanded ways in the corrupt senate will make it less corrupt#i condemn oppression and the othering of non human species. i marry the guy who slaughtered the tuskens#she is SO CONFLICTED#because her identity since childhood has been conflated with her duty#so she doesn’t know how to have healthy desires that dont infringe upon her values in these intrusive ways#it’s very trauma narrative#also just to say. i love padme none of this is padme hate#i love her and we are very alike in some ways

Lucasfilm apparently cast Jeremy Allen White for The Mandalorian movie... AS ROTTA THE HUTT. THEY CAST JEREMY ALLEN WHITE AS STINKY THE HUTT. I HAVE BEEN HYENA LAUGHING FOR THE LAST FIVE MINUTES, THIS IS THE MOST STAR WARS CASTING THEY HAVE EVER DONE. ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE. THEY CAST THIS GUY
